Tom Geiger Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 . But I think I am going to make my wife pick my next build. hehe I been trying to get her into modeling but no luck so I am going to be kinda sneaky about it.. and get her involved with the ideas and what not hehe. Maybe not a great idea... imagine you come home from work and ask, "Honey what did you do today?" And she replies "I built one of those dusty old Johan kits on the top shelf!"
GeeBee Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Just bought this off eBay, from a model store in Burbank California, I'll probably get it in the New Year, could have got one a little cheaper, but this was the only seller with a 100% feedback
JamesW Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 This Hummer has been on my want list for a minute. Also got another 79 Elco promo and 2 cans on Pactra Atomic Rust.
martinfan5 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) James, I was able to get my hands on that same special edition Hummer kits I almost had to get a clean pair of underpants today when I heard the total for the two cans of Tamiya primer and one can of Tamiya semi gloss black can at the LHS Edited December 21, 2012 by martinfan5
JamesW Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I got lucky and snatched this one up for $19.99 shipped. Wouldn't mind getting a couple more.

Scuderia Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Here's what I got, nothin too special. I built one in red with Mustang GT Turbines. Might do this one straight box-stock.
tjones87 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I have the 93 xr7 cougar I built years ago...I have thought about tearing down and rebuilding into a Roush style...but just cant seem to tear it apart lol....might have to pick me up another kit....
Roadkill2525 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 A haircut, these and an appointment for my wisdom teeth to be removed.
Dan Helferich Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I won a MPC '32 Ford sedan delivery kit on Ebay at about 3AM this morning. This was the first kit I built on my return to the hobby in '88 (after a 12 year absence) and I've always wanted to do another in a more traditional style. Woo Hoo! Can't wait to get it.
XJ6 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 No Interest.....No Payments.....For 12 Months....0% APR

Right now on the Bay and some online vendors they seem to be going kinda cheap. I did the 91 with the 5.0 and this one has the SC engine. Same molds as the TBird SC.
outragis Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 another call from my craigslist ad! picking up day after christmas!
2000-cvpi Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Wow, you seem to have great results with a Craigslist ad. I may have to try that here.
GeeBee Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Bought this off eBay last week, it was listed as brand new & boxed ...... This is what I got ! In the end the seller had bought a collection of models and hadn't opened then before listing them, I got most of the money I paid refunded and got it for £5.99 (Just over $9.50), I'll strip it down and try to make a nice shelf model out of it.
spkgibson Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 4 of the testors 1970 Buick GSX diecast kits to strip and make GSs out of. the AMT 69 Chevelle chassiss work great as these are 1/25 scale and the 1/24 GSX 455 works great with a few little mods!
AzTom Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I don't buy many new kits, have way too many projects already, but I had to grab one of these. The first new truck I bought as a work truck was a 1975 Ford van like this except it had a 6 cylinder.
tuffone20 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Well guys I still have not gotten a model built in a while!!! but that hasn't stopped me from picking more cool models!!! Here are just a few of the kits I've gotten over the last few months or so.
