Crazy Ed Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I've had this for a bit, but I'm pretty proud of it. Although I'm not sure how to make it not be clear, but still showcase the orange flake ... thinking maybe an orange flake paint from behind? Mask it down the center, Front to the Back and leave 1/2 Clear/Orange and Paint the otherside however you'd like!
Austin T Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 More of that renewed attention to detail at the factory QC we've been seeing for the past 3-4 months. We he said he had is ordered from GMS customs, I do believe they would have packaged the box and sent it. I know you have some beef with Revell but you don't have to blame them for everything.

Having actually ordered from GMS before I can assure you they wouldn't open the kit, break the rear window, steal a tire, and then reseal it and send it to someone.
jrherald420 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 No but the box had the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH beat out of it, im sure that's how the glass was broken as the shipping box was mint. Sucks never the less, glad i have 2 so i can build one.......maybe in 4-6 weeks i can build another. They said they are swamped with requests for broken/missing parts due to the holidays ans them being off for over a week.
JamesW Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I would message GMS. They've always been good to me at resolving issues.
jrherald420 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I figured they would just tell me to contact Revell. Ill shoot them a message and see what they say.
jrherald420 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Sent them a message, we will see what they say.
Big Daddy Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Got these today and they look great now I can start the cuda, thanks chuck
racedriver25 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Got my jig "table" today and some rare earth magnets. Works great for building frames and parts in brass or styrene. Get a piece of white poster board draw your design on it,place it on the steel sheet, use the magnets to hold the parts in place and solder or glue. Actually got the steel plate idea from Dirt Modeler.
lordairgtar Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 You think that is where Bozosoku cars got their start?
cobraman Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Ran across this while cruising on ebay last week. Won the bid and it was delivered today. Maybe not a model kit but it is a Cobra. It's an r/c car but just bought it for the Cobra collection because ya see................ I kind of sort of kind of have a thing for Cobra's. : )

o-man Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I like the Corolla sedan. That was the first car I ever owned; might have to pick one up. You and Martinfan have very similar tastes in models

Interesting synopsis of Japanese car cultures. I was aware of the TV series the car is from, but you can see where my assumption was made.

Ohh, I got plenty of ways, one with a engine swap, different colors as well, heck, I am not sure having four more to build is going to be enough, then there is V2 to , I will get six of those , I have issues, I know, it ok, I am at peace with it I guess I should post what I got today, paint from Scale Finishes sale
