Hi everyone, specially Erik,

here i will present you a small, but very fast japanese Car. The first one of all manufactures, who was present in Germany in the 60's - and what a car!

My Honda S 800 Racing (Fujimi)

I built it without any changes, only put some belts in. This built is my part to our german Forumbuild called "Racecars". I choosed this one, because since 1985 my heart is pumping for Honda and i have no other racecar with personal feelings to build it. The second build for the contest is a Epson-NSX that will follow next year.

Now - enough of words - here some picture. Enjoy!

Thats it. Sure, i made a mistake: i put on the Licenseplates...on a race car. Hihihi... :D ...a stupid moment. But perhaps, he is on a trip to a racetrack? Nobody knows...

Nice Model, and those register plates are all right. One guy here in Finland raced few years ago with '63 Buick Special on Circle Track. He always drove to the Race track with a Roofrack full of important equipment, no trailer, bus or any service vehicle. It was really nice car.

But yeah, not to highjack... Your Honda turned out excellent. B)

Very nice clean model. I have been involved in road racing for almost 50 years and have seen plates on more cars than I can count.

This is the Hill/Spence Chaparral 2F with Texas plates. Plates were required in FIA races back in then.

Sharp little Honda Dominick! I've never seen those here in the states.......a real rarity indeed! I built the original Nitto version of that kit years ago (mid '80's) but don't know what happened to it. They do build up nicely, albeit not a lot of detail in the engine compartment.

Tamiya's version is nice as well (which I have) but for some reason, I prefer this rendition of it better. ;)

Thanks for the additional photos! That is a great looking, clean model. I love these cars done up in racing style. The fujimi kits (based off the old Nitto kit) require a little work too - not as cleanly tooled as the Tamiya version.

The S800 never really made it to the US market - there were a few imported and a few left around, but chances of ever seeing one are extremely slim. I have watched a lot of videos of these racing though - awesome high revving engines.

Nice Honda. Great job on it.

I have this version of the S800--From Toyota. Waiting to be built.......

As small as it is and it is even 1/24 scale. Quite a tiny car.

Very nice little Honda, Dominik! Nice to see the Fujimi version built up as usually just see the Tamiya version. Anyway, great job on the build.

Thank you all for comments!

Erik, the Fujimi also has a engine, but there is to cut off the hood.

But the Tamiya is a class better in details under the hood! Perhaps, i catch one and build it as civilian car. On this, i had to screw (?) the doorlines on both side, they were not seen after base coat...

If you always build american 60's-70's cars, you cant believe, that they are the same scale - it is really really small. But i love it, had much fun to build it.

Very nice and detailed build. I have one of these in Gran Tourismo, but I've never driven it much.

I love the look of vintage touring & gran prix racecars, although I don't know much about them. Cars you could actually buy, not like the homogenous racing appliances of today.
