A.R.C. Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Very nice!! I`ve never seen or heard of a Cougar II before. I like what you did with it.
Albie D Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Talk about putting in some work, great save on an otherwise odd looking car. Looks worlds better!
S. Svendsen Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I would never have recognized it. Great job on restyling the body.
realgone58 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Wow, thats incredible! I wouldn't have know where to start! Reminds me of a re-styled Triumph TR-7 from the profile view.
jbwelda Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 this picture cracks me up: it just looks so mangled! that was a fantastic save, it sure came out looking spectacular!
unclescott58 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) Nice rescue of an old kit. Results are great. A modern update on the Bondinat Cobra. The Bondiant Cobra was convertible version of the Cougar II. I bet Bondinat himself would have liked it. Scott Edited May 26, 2014 by unclescott58
rustybill1960 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 GORGEOUS! Your work is "always" a pleasure to see! Thank You so very much for sharing with Us here Later Russ
unclescott58 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Above are some photos showing the real Bordinat Cobra and Cougar II together. Plus one of Gene Bordinat with the Bordinat Cobra. Gene Bordinat was head of Ford Styling when these cars were designed and built. And are both built on Shelby Cobra chassis. Hence forth the reason for calling the roaster version the Bordinat Cobra. Why they called the coupe version Cougar II I do not know? Scott Edited May 30, 2014 by unclescott58
ChrisBcritter Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Another model that deserves to be a 1/1! Good idea for a variation on one of those belly-button Cobra kit cars.
Lunajammer Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 That's a real beauty. Such an attractive transformation.
