This is my first build of 2013, the Tamiya Lotus Europa special. Sprayed with Tamiya gloss black, this was built pretty much box stock with the exception of some KFS number plates and a tax disc, BMF and a pair of photoetch glasses on the centre console. The rear LOTUS lettering and the pinstriping on the rear deck are missing as I lost a couple of the letters in the carpet as they did'nt stick down too well and for some unknown reason the pinstriping for the rear decking dissolved in the water yet I had no problems at all with the others.

As usual, all comments and thoughts are welcome and thanks for looking.

Very nice build. This same kit was the third model I built and it is what got me really excited about building model cars. You did a great job with yours,it turned out MUCH better than mine.

Nice.

I always thought those things looked like little El Caminos or Rancheros. So disappointing to find an engine in the rear instead of a bed!

LOLAM.

Very nice build!!! It is on my list as my brother-in-law had a JPS Lotus. He even had new badges made for the B pillars after Lotus had another championship.

The cars are very simple and fun to drive/ride. But his had an issue with blowing power window motors and fuses. A very hot car in the summer Carolinas heat!!!

We even raced one for a short time......but both are gone now....why I need to build the model!!!
