James2 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) Just finished up today. Revell kits including parts from the R@t Roadster, five window and sedan. Some PPP Asphalt tires out back with Garlit wheels, Ohio George wheels and tires up front. Blue tape seat belts and Detail Master buckles, blue flock on the floor. Black and blue water color wash and Tamiya paint on the the rest. Scratch made roof rack. Had a little set back with the decals, but Shardik came through for me in a big way, Thanks Johann! Here is a link to the build... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=72319 And as always thanks for viewing! J2 Edited April 13, 2013 by James2
TooOld Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 That's really nice ! The colors really make it stand out . Nice detailing and the wheel and tire combo looks great ! Educate me a bit . . . what are PPP asphalt tires ?
RatRod Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 This came out fantastic James!!! You nailed the look you were after perfectly, and the colors are great too. Love the surf theme you devised, and stuck to it. Kinda like Bob, I'd like a little more info on those rear tires....
Sixties Sam Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Very nice! Sharp colors, nice details. The surf theme is cool. sam
James2 Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Thanks guys! The tires are from Plastic Performance Products, they make a lot of short track items. You can do a search to find your best supplier.
realgone58 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Sweet! Love the blue with the red pinstripe combo.
Grumpa Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Fantastic '32 James! I love the stance. Beautiful!
lazlow Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Love it, love it, love it, that blue scallop sweet. Did you hand panit the red stripe.
Steven2 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Sweet! I love the scallops. Did those corrugated hoses come with the kit?
Mister Twister Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I agree with everyone else....What a cool looking build!
TheRX7Project Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Oh, that paint scheme hits the nail on the head! Well done!
