I think that is the MPC 'Rescue Blazer' snap kit that was just reissued. Some online vendors show it as available now.

What I see on the left side seems to match the Snap Blazer, but the right side with the vertical "BLAZER" doesn't match at all. Maybe it was just an old prototype box they brought with them.

A pic in one of the NNL albums someone else posted show it's the rescue Blazer.

Little better view of the Camaro box. This looks like legitimate Round2 box art, as opposed to the faux or fictional box previously posted.

Also looks like a Camaro body sitting on the table in front of the box. (It looks from here like it has a pushbar. Hopefully it's added, not molded in place.)

Anybody get a closer shot of box art or the body?

I noticed that too, and I sure am hoping that its just added for the table and not molded in place

On another forum an MPC '78 AMC Pacer was also pictured.

Hmmm...the ugliest of the ugly there. Funky grill. I hope they still throw in the snow tires. The 6 in those pacers are kind of cool though.

I will build all 300 kits surrounding my bench this year, so I need a few new kits ;).

Yeah, it's too bad they picked the '78 instead of the '76 or '77 X. The wheels and AMC I6 will be good to have, but I'm not so sure this kit'll have the same appeal the Gremlin did.

The '78 was the last year that MPC offered it, so that's what they had to work with without retooling. I already have the '76 kit, looking forward to the '78.

I wonder what happened to the AMT Pacer wagon...I know there was a custom version, but I don't know if those were add on parts or tooling changes.

Who knows, maybe we will see more 'last year of release' MPC kits like this if the tooling is still out there, like the '79 Pinto or '80 Volare...

For sure... Wayne's was a 76 and outside of that I can't imagine a Pacer joining my collection. Well, maybe a Levi's one, but those were '77!

In my opinion, humble one at that, the AMT Pacers are a little better than the MPC. The wheels are molded open, separate rear end (MPC is molded in chassis) and the engine bay is a little more convincing. The MPC engine, however, looks a little nicer and has less molded in parts. MPC kits were kind of a 3 in 1, with stock, street, and rally options, but there wasn't much difference between all three versions.

AMT's custom wagon had a different grill, hood, and rear hatch, but I think body wasn't modified. It didn't come with stocks parts.

I actually like the '79 Pinto - I think the square headlights and grill look cool, in a Pinto way.

As far as marketability, I don't think they (Pacers) have huge potential. They are still available on eBay regularly. Yes, more than the $20 a new kit will be (or $22), but still easy to find. Pintos? Of they could do a little bumper early 70s one...

The '75 Gremlin seems to be all but ignored. What will the Pacer be?...But what do I know.

The Pacer is definitely a welcomed kit in my home apartment !

And , I agree : the 1980 Volare would be most welcomed ! While it was a custom-only in its last year (anyone know why ?) , it wasn't far removed from its stock 'annual' origins .

Did somebody say "backdated-Datsun-Pickup-with-the-V8-and-flip-front-clip-included" ?

I don't know about an '80, but a Super Coupe, Sport Pak, or R/T Aspen or Roadrunner Volare would be must have's for me!

Pat Redmond's pics:

I see they are doing the faux-retro box art thing with the Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins '66 Nova kit, too:

I'm liking the 1966 Nova box. Would like to see a better pic of that.

If the Pacer can be built stock, I'm in.

It would be nice to see Round 2, for the tools that got really botched up, to see if they simply might be willing to invest in fresh molds.

Barring that, I think the money should be put into retrofitting the molds. There are a lot of subjects that if multiple build options were renewed, and the parts adjusted to fit well, would sell and produce a handsome return, I think.

I picked up the Round2 Polar Lights Tom Grove Mustang the other day and it seems like a really well tooled kit. I was going to steal the headers for my current build but decided to keep it intact. I'll build it here when I finish my '56 Thunderbird for another forum. I can post box photos tomorrow if anyone interested in seeing the sprues.

Well, the Lawman kit is due to arrive soon under the AMT label, and the 1/20 Surf Buggy did seem to make it out (just barely?), but the Touch Tone Terror hasn't been mentioned since. Round2 did recently mention they are reissuing the (originally) IMC Little Red Wagon Dodge A-100 wheelstander kit with new decals to replicate the "Dodge Fever" wheelstander, like so:

I guess that's good news? I think most would've preferred to see the Touch Tone Terror see the light of day again, but maybe there's a licensing related reason it can't or won't happen. I want to say I recall Brett mentioning the LRW was still in a (then) current vendor's lineup, so maybe that is/was a factor, too? Either way, there'll be a new decal sheet, and hopefully the tissue paper-thin bed area has been addressed by Round2, too. Molded in white plastic'd be nice, too.

Never have seen those decals.

This is from 2016 though now, Casey?

Round2 announced this as a release, kit #HL135, a few days ago on facebook:

"Check out this 1:25 scale to be - HL135. We expect it to be available this June! Shout out to Richard Travers, the owner/driver/licensor!"

I'm assuming all-new (Cartograf) decals included with the same old LRW kit.
