wgflatliner Posted April 26, 2013 Share Posted April 26, 2013 Tonight, my cousin Aaron has passed away after about a 20 year fight with cystic fibrosis. Growing up and all throughout his life he has always had a big heart. He even built a couple models with me as a teen. I'm really gonna miss him. RIP Aaron, and you will never be forgotten. CF is a horrible, insidious illness that kills slowly, and the suffering your cousin endured was, I'm sure, beyond description. It is nice knowing that the family did what they could to help make him comfortable. The only sucky thing beyond this is his brother also has Cystic Fibrosis. I can only imagine what's going through his mind with the knowledge that his very own brother died from the thing that he has too. Does he think he's going to be dying soon? Does he think he won't live past 20 years old? it has to be extremely tough for him, i'm sure. Thanks to everybody else as well, as i really do appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers.
