lanesteele240 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I highly doubt that those lap belts are sufficient. This thing is a rocket ship
John Teresi Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 I highly doubt that those lap belts are sufficient. This thing is a rocket ship Gary.......yes,I agree ......but,they are like that in the 1:1 car.......I guess he is on a suicide mission?
PappyD340 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 John, you got some crazy skills my friend. simply OUTSTANDING!
Draggon Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) You should tighten up those huge panel gaps. Edited June 11, 2013 by Draggon
Mooneyzs Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) John.... that paint is just wicked and looks killer. You nailed this one out of the park. Love it brother! Edited June 11, 2013 by Mooneyzs
Chuck Most Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 There we are... the reason I left it up to somebody else to model this car. No way in Hell I'd ever be able to duplicate that paint job. Looks like John is nailing it.
blazefox Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 For me its a tie between this and the hot road wrecker thats all metal for my favorite scratch built wonders
Dr. Cranky Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Again, another gorgeous model in your collection.
shucky Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 John, awesome progress! Love this thing and such a sweet representation of the real thing. Keep up the stellar work!
lower99 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I cannot believe what i seee............................... You´re my hero!!!!
Dennis Lacy Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 few more progress photos.......thanks It's too bad that you got in such a hurry to paint that you didn't take the time to make the doors actually fit and be the same shape as the holes in the body. Those gaps are gonna stick out like a sore thumb no matter how fancy the paint job is. Kind of a shame with all the detail you've put into other areas of the project. I will concede that the final fit of the engine does look better than the mock-ups and more true to the 1:1.
John Teresi Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 Hello........thank you all for the kind comments .......I really do appreciate them........I airbrushed the graphics on the top of the body and scoop....... I used an old doll dress off one of my daughters dolls.......I know the lace is out of scale ......but,it is good enough for the girls I go with.......and I need to add my "MY Models are not Perfect"........and I am happy with that .......so I will continue to do what I like.......building models for the fun of it........thanks.
Ramfins59 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 You got it right John...... it's all about having fun with the hobby and not really worrying about what people might think of what you build.
Nitrozilla Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I say display it with the doors open. Keep on doing what you love John. So, um, er, uh, you gonna put headers on this thing or what??????? Oh wait, it's not complete yet, is it?
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) Wow!!! Killer! My jaw just hit the floor.... Amazing paint work man! That is simply amazing! Edited June 12, 2013 by DragLoKustomz619
