mangodart Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Hi guys, here is my latest build, still on my 70ies period, a 72 Gran Torino from Johan, the snap kit version. On this one not a lot of modification except the vinyl top. Tires are the new Goodyear from AMT. At first this kit was painted a kind of metallic red which was not that nice on it, so I decide to go Green after watching the excellent Eastwood movie !!! Hope you'll like it :
Porscheman Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Beautiful build!!! I like the vinyl top and the paint.
High octane Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Nice lookin' build and the vinyl top looks great. Green is my favorite color as it is the color of money.
realgone58 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Very nice! Great color choice and awesome job on the vinyl roof. So far, I've got a resin flat hood for one of these, but still haven't scored the kit or promo to do my build yet.
PappyD340 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Very Nice, my brother-in-law had one just like that it was green and had the 400 cu in engine it was a screamer for sure, great job!!
Maindrian Pace Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Great build on a seldom seen model. Love the back ground too. -MJS
beeRS Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Well done. That's a great looking model from a great movie.
george 53 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 (edited) The 72 Gran Torino was probably THE most prettiest car to EVER come out of Fords styling studios (the 70 mustang is the next) and you did it GREAT justice! Your Torino looks JUST as nice as the REAL ones! Nice color combo too. You did an EXCELLENT job on a BEAUTIFUL car! Edited July 28, 2013 by george 53
Plasticfanatic Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Superb looking Torino model, great color choice.
Scalper Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Nice build. very clean really like the paint. wheels are perfect.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Hey kid, I'm happy to see you didn't low ridered her, or added that stupid wings to the rear that look real ugly. That being said, keep out of my lawn!!! Now on the serious side, what a cool looking model. Loved the vinyl roof and the final color choice. Now you need to build a replica of the white Ford F-100 truck to go with the Gran Torino.
mangodart Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 Thanks for all these nice comments, I have to wait for the new Moebius model.....
Sixties Sam Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Nice! Great 70's vibe! It looks real in those photos. Good work! Sam
