Dragfreak Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 beautiful work! I would like to let you know though that this is a dragster and your model is a great representation of a Drag Car.

PappyD340 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Another NICE build Curt, whatever one chooses to call it, you did a great job on it!!
johnbuzzed Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) beautiful work! I would like to let you know though that this is a dragster and your model is a great representation of a Drag Car. Well, it all depends upon the dictionary that one uses to see the definition of "dragster". And, unfortunately, my browser here at work wouldn't let me see the pictures, so I'll check them out later tonite. But I have seen your work in the past, Curt, so I know this is gonna be a nice build. Edited July 29, 2013 by johnbuzzed
curt raitz Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 beautiful work! I would like to let you know though that this is a dragster and your model is a great representation of a Drag Car. Definition of a dragster per Webster: a vehicle built or modified for use in a drag race
george 53 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Curt, did you build the cover model? Or didja just build yours like that? Either way, it looks GREAT!
Dragfreak Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Definition of a dragster per Webster: a vehicle built or modified for use in a drag race If you ask anybody at a dragstrip what a dragster is they'll tell you a dragster is a FED,T/A,T/F,ETC but as you pointed out if you're going off a dictionary its anything modified for drag racing.
curt raitz Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 If you ask anybody at a dragstrip what a dragster is they'll tell you a dragster is a FED,T/A,T/F,ETC but as you pointed out if you're going off a dictionary its anything modified for drag racing. No problem, I agree with you on what we think as a dragster, but "dragster" sounded better than "drag car" or "drag queen"..
curt raitz Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 Curt, did you build the cover model? Or didja just build yours like that? Either way, it looks GREAT! I couldn't think of how I wanted to build this model when I opened the box...but had to build it, ya know! I said to mysedlf "Myself, you've never built a boxtop model and it's been awhile since ya built an "Out-of-the-box" model as well!" Plus the challenge of pullin' off black dragster version looked like fun, so here we are... thanx
sjordan2 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Nice and clean, excellent detail work. Interestingly, I bought a can of TS-14 a couple of weeks ago. There are so many different blacks, I thought this used to be labeled Gloss Black, but it only says "Black." I wasn't sure what I was getting, maybe a base coat or something. Now I know.
Mooneyzs Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Curt.... nice work on this car . It turned out great.
bbowser Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Nice clean work. What a family guy might have run on the weekends for fun. Great job.
