slusher Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Here is my 69 Plymouth Barracuda. its painted in Dupont Burgandy from a 99/98 chevy truck. was built in 2001. Box stock going to take some pictures and post some of my older builds. All comments welcome...
charlie8575 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I like the color on it. About the only thing I'd have done differently is black-wash those rims a little. I also would've left the scoop off- too big for the car and generally not a fan of those anyway. Charlie Larkin
PappyD340 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 WOW Carl that's a STUNNER!! I love that color, another fantastic build!! great job
JasonC Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Looks great to me! I like the Super Stock scoop.
cobraman Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Here's the pitch, and the swing and "Wack" is going , going, gone ! Another one knocked outa the park ! Another home run Carl. As I have said in the past, you have a very clean building style. I like it ! Good job.
Guest Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 That is a sharp looking Barracuda Carl! That color looks so nice on it. I like the color on it. About the only thing I'd have done differently is black-wash those rims a little. I also would've left the scoop off- too big for the car and generally not a fan of those anyway. Charlie Larkin I gotta disagree Charlie. Blackwashed wheels look like dirty wheels and don't suit a cleanly built model. If it was a weathered model, I would agree with you.
jjsipes Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Great looking Barracuda. I have always loved this body style Barracuda. Alot of people prefer the E-Body Cuda over this style but not me. Love it. Great paint job.
Porscheman Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Beautiful as always Carl. Love the paint and the white interior!!!
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Carl,I love this! You always put out some very nice builds

Is it the mpc kit? i'm missing this in my shelf...like the style of this Barracuda.
Monty Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I loves me some burgundy, and that paint just pops! Thanks for the source reference! Are those the tires & wheels that came with the kit? The one I built back in the late '70s had some huge tires and wheels.
om617 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Very clean looking Barracuda. I like that you did not black out the hood/scoop.

Charlie and Roger, l agree with you both l was still learning at this point and did not wash the grill or the wheels. l had not joined any forums or model mags at this time. Your always learning. Thanks both of you for good tips..
realgone58 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Great looking Barracuda. I have always loved this body style Barracuda. Alot of people prefer the E-Body Cuda over this style but not me. Love it. Great paint job. I agree. I like the A body Barracudas better myself. Carl, the paint is awesome on this one!
Mopar - D Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Great paint job Carl. Just can't get enough of these Barracudas.

kingiguana Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Great job on a not so great kit. I remember building this one years and years ago, back in the late 70's LOL I was around 13 or so.
