I have just recently been having an issue with the operation of the board. I can not back up to the previous page. There seems to be some interaction with advertising that is appearing at the bottom of some posts. These are those boxes that scroll through multiple advertisers. When I hit the back button it just continually scrolls and won't let me go back to the previous page. I have to exit the form and come back in to get back to the last page. This is particularly annoying when I want to go back to unread posts after viewing a topic and want to see the rest of the unread posts.

Yes. Not exactly your case with the ads, but I often can't 'back-button' to the previous page. However it seems to only be on my aging home Mac laptop. Not an issue at work or GF's computer.

You beat me to it. I was going to mention it but couldn't find the "board problems" thread, then I got sidetracked but yes, i'm having trouble with the back button too.

yes. and it takes forever in a day when i click anything for the page to load. this is on two computers 20 miles away from each other. i just have another page open and check this one at random. it's worth what i pay.

No problems on Chrome, but then again I have Adblock installed as well. On my Android tablet, I get the ads but haven't had any issues with the back buttons (yet).

I have this problem too, but it only happens every once in a while. Can't put a finger on what is causing it.

I think it has to do with the advertising that is showing up at the bottom of some posts. Sometimes when I can't go back, I see the ads being blanked out in red cross hatching. They also seem to be changing each time I hit the back button.

No issue's here

Question for those having the issue, I am wondering , are all of you not blocking the ad's?

And for the ones that are not having any issues, like myself, are you using a ad blocking program?, again like myself

Ok, I think I have figured this one out and it may be a result of my MacAfee. I have noticed that there are some "pop ups" that appear between posts. These scroll through different advertisers. I think what is happening is that occasionally the Security software doesn't like one of the adds. If I scroll up from where I am, I will see that ad blanked out with red crosshatching. In the upper right corner is a icon that I have not yet identified but if I click on it, it asks if I want to turn it off. If I do so, then it lets me scroll back to the prior page. It would be a workaround.

I've had that problem too. If I go to a certain section and try to go back, it just won't do anything. I have to re type the address and start over. I've also had a problem with clicking on links and my computer will totally freeze up. Ctrl+Alt+Delete won't even work. I can't even get the cursor to move to restart my computer. So, I no longer click on links people post here unless I'm familiar with it. It only happens on this site. I also have McAfee and IE. I've gotten warnings using Firefox.

edit: after posting this, I couldn't go back and had to re type the address in the address bar.

Using ad blocker, having the issue, on Chrome.

I was wondering if it was the Ads that were causing it, but I guess thats not the case now

I recently started having a similar problem with my android tablet, but not as bad as some of you are getting it. I can get back to the previous page, i just need to hit the back button twice.

For a long time after the board started putting up ads, I was able to browse the forum without getting the glitch. If the ads are causing it, it may be that the ad provider has changed their coding.
