peekay Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) Another older curbside build. Paint is Sikkens base/clear, tyres are Satco, steering is poseable. Guest Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Very nice! Great to see one stock. Have a dark blue one in the works.
Harry P. Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I love seeing this car built stock. I am so tired of the cliché '49 Merc leadsled.
Craig Irwin Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 YES! I love the oldies built stock, allthoe I've been told nobody does that!
Harry P. Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 YES! I love the oldies built stock, allthoe I've been told nobody does that! Peter does! And God bless him for it!
bbowser Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Wonderful model! I really like the stock look.
1930fordpickup Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 They look better Stock than chopped all up. This is an awesome Merc.
Alyn Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 In the "Real or Model" arena, there's very little that would give this one away. Nicely done and nicely presented.
realgone58 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 These are really beautiful cars when they are in stock form. Great color on this one too. Beautiful model!
charlie8575 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 I LOVE this! It makes me so happy to see a rep-stock '49-51 Merc. I'd love to see someone have the guts to try and make a 1949-51 4-door with those cool suicide doors. Charlie Larkin
rmvw guy Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 It needs nothing, beautiful on it's own. I agree with Harry on this one.
High octane Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 You build some nice lookin' models my friend.
Sixties Sam Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Excellent! It looks good in stock form. Nice color! Sam
Ramfins59 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Very refreshing to see an unchopped Merc. Great job Peter.
Guest Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Very nice looking '49 Mercury Peter! It looks so right and yet so "wrong" at the same time. Very rare to see one built stock. Nice work!
W-409 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Stock '49 Mercury is certainly a subject you don't see every day, especially in 1/25 scale. If I had all parts with that AMT '49 Mercury Glue Bomb that I got while ago, I would have built it Stock also, but since it was missing some parts, I chopped it and started building a Custom. You did fantastic job in here, nice paint and detail. Very refreshing to see one of these built Stock, great work. And some day, I'll get another AMT Merc' and that'll be Stock too!
Chris White Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 It is refreshing to see one done stock. Real Nice
