W-409 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 The USA losing to Canada in the men's Olympic hockey semi-final just now Bronze is our only hope tomorrow against Finland... Same thing happened to Finland against Sweden. That game ended 2-1. But luckily Finland beat The USA today and we got the Bronze Medal. 5-0 Win is pretty good one, and Teemu Selänne scored two goals in his last match in Finland's shirt.

Epic FAIL as far as I'm concerned on the USA Men's hockey!!! But congrats to you & your countrymen on a job well done. I'm also happy for two of our Pittsburgh Penguins that are on team Finland
Harry P. Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Yeah, Team USA didn't exactly bring home the gold. Or the silver. Or the bronze. Did they at least get a participation ribbon?
Deano Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Yeah, Team USA didn't exactly bring home the gold. Or the silver. Or the bronze. Did they at least get a participation ribbon? Fortunately, from my point of view, the Olympics is not an "everyone's a winner" event
FASTBACK340 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Nothing bothered me today, which is nice. My neck felt good, it was nice and warm (a direct correlation I believe…) and i was able to BBQ without the winter parker and gloves. If it wasn't for a wrecked car I'm baby sitting in my yard, I think I might have taken the Mistress out for a romp.
martinfan5 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Don't feel like you're alone, Jonathan-I got ripped off by one of the "Proud Members' of the Moon Light Modelers group too. That was over two years ago.......I guess that liar must have needed it more than I did. I think he is proud to be a chiseler. Its rather sad more then anything

FASTBACK340 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Easy, big guy... The best part is my Wife doesn't mind. Most of the time she joins us!
Tom Geiger Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Fortunately, from my point of view, the Olympics is not an "everyone's a winner" event The ancient Greeks threw all the losers off a cliff to their death. I miss that part.

charlie8575 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Charlie, back-in-the-day, no spilled gasoline on my car or my parents car ever ruined the paint job. Don't know what kind of fuel you're using, or what kind of paint you have on your car, but something's not right. Gasoline will eventually wash paint off from what I've seen and been told. Here, we have crapoline, like most of the rest of the country with that awful 10% ethanol blend that's slowly destroying my engine and reducing my gas mileage proportionate the ethanol, if not more. But even when it was plain old gas, there was always that risk of your paint being messed up. As to spills- someone forgot to tell most of the pump-jockeys around here that. That's always been the case- a drop or two, I understand, but we consistently see it pouring out because these churn-and-burn dolts don't understand the concept of letting the nozzles drain completely into the tank. von Zipper Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Its rather sad more then anything You are right about it being rather sad, but what is really sad is that you have a liar and thief in your midst-Not the type of society that I would want to be involved with or the type of person I would want as a friend. I don't hold it against your club as I'm sure this chiseler has done this to other people as well.

Old Buckaroo Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 ebay, the search for Model trucks. I had been getting tired of seeing all the 1/87 scale stuff being placed there. But I am only one person and I would be looking for that scale under Model RR stuff . But I was willing to give that the befit of the doubt. But when people start listing sippy cups and things like this under the model truck section - http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-White-Gas-Range-Sealed-Type-Burners-/291089772204?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item43c64d6eac It is time for me to move on...

Well, it wont do much to eliminate the stove, but I always use modifiers, like -1/87 or -lot -parts etc. this way it removes them from my search....the stove..um, yeah, do not get that at all, not if it were in scale, that would be cool.

mrindy77 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 The co workers who keep complaining about the cold weather and park in the heated parking ramp.
Greg Myers Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 constantly moving post from thread to another and then saying that's where it belongs and yet there are many others that don't get moved. Best part is the comment that it's too hard to say where it got moved to.

Best part is the comment that it's too hard to say where it got moved to. Why not volunteer to be a moderator and make things better, Greg? I'm sure there are plenty of things which could be done and handled better and differently here, but if you never make the effort never step up an try to implement your ideas, we'll never know what those ideas are, not how well they work. Of course, if you did volunteer, you could no longe complain about everything you don't like, you'd realize there is no right answer for everything, you'd have to use the existing forum sections to decide where posts best fit, you'd be required to use your best judgment when deciding what's best for the forum as a whole, and you'd get criticized by those who know how to do it better yet won't actually take the initiative to volunteer their time...still interested? I'm serious when I say I'd love it if someone volunteered and wanted to help out here as a moderator, but I've only seen/read one person speak up and hint at wanting to do so in the years I've been a member. I leave "moved" trails when I move a post, and Gregg recently set thing up so that the trail link is automatically removed after five days. There is no way to leave a trail for a merged post, but again, here's a post which tell you how to find any of your topic or replies. Please "Follow" it this time: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=61235&hl=
Tom Geiger Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Casey since you mentioned "merged posts". In short please don't do it. I think it confuses the heck outta folks, and often the posts really don't follow the flow of the topic
