Megazord_man Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Glad it's finished, well unless I decide to add more to the base. But it's mighty fine feeling to have it finished at last. http://www.coolminiornot.com/342182 http://www.puttyandpaint.com/projects/2933

crazyjim Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Very gruesome, but I like it. How did you do the welds?
Ridgeback Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Brilliant detail I take it the poor guy got out of the Dub to fix it and ended up on the menu!
Erik Smith Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Very nicely done - if you can say nicely about a rather gruesome scene. The weathering and detail painting throughout are great. I like the small gut pile...
Bastardo Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 One of the best and most original automotive dioramas I've ever seen - and I've seen MANY! Great work! Congrats!
Megazord_man Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Many thanks for the very kind words everyone Crazyjim - for the welds I stuck a thin strip of green stuff along the seam, and pushed small indentations into it (like welds). Airbrushed the strip (and the surrounding panels) black. I then picked out the actual weld in a steel colour paint (Vallejo air metallics steel) and finally gave the metal a black wash (GW nulen oil wash). It's a quick and easy method to get great looking results.
REDNECK7109 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Dude this is amazing. I'm a huge zombie anything fan lol had a walking dead party for the season premier tonight! Where did you get those zombies though!?
Zarana-X Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Excellent work! I don't wander into the truck section often. As a fan of the genre, and VWs, I like this alot. You should consider adding this to the community build project: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52127&page=1
Megazord_man Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Thanks for the kind words - Ah, I'll add it over in the zombie thread. As for the figure and the gun on the top their from a company called Dark World Creations - http://www.darkworldcreations.com/
Roncla Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 There is a lot of detail in that. Looks like a scene from a B grade movie. Congrats for thinking out of the circle and building something unique
