gashat Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Hello Some what new and was wondering if there are any AMC modelers on board? Thanks Gene Shatrowsky
Harry P. Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Yes there are. Here's just one to get you started: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77293
charlie8575 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I build AMCs, Hudsons, Nashes, I'd build a Jeffrey if I could find one. Come to think of it, I build all kinds of things.... Charlie Larkin
Ron Hamilton Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Guilty as charged. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=79675#entry1015804 ...and here's one I am restoring. ...and a resin piece I will be doing as a "Big Bad" car.
Sport Suburban Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I love to see AMC's built. I build mainly muscle cars and have many AMC projects. I have finished a 70 Rebel Machine and three Javelin AMX's (71, 72 and a 73).
KingSix Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I love to see AMC's built. I build mainly muscle cars and have many AMC projects. I have finished a 70 Rebel Machine and three Javelin AMX's (71, 72 and a 73). Great, now I want your wagon AND your models ..LOL
KevinMoparFord Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I have the 1/20 AMX to build and a Rebel Machine. This is my 71 Hornet SC360, Missing Link resin and 69 Rambler donor used.
69NovaYenko Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 While Chevy`s are my 1st love, American Motors muscle cars are a close 2nd. I`ve been the proud owner of two 1:1 Javelins and one AMX`s in my youth. Wish I had held on to them.
69NovaYenko Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 (edited) Ron where did you get the resin "Big Bad" car? Edited October 13, 2013 by 69NovaYenko
jeffs396 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I hear ya Greg...Bowties are my fave, but I like the AMC stuff, Jeeps included A '71 Javelin WIP:
Ron Hamilton Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Ron where did you get the resin "Big Bad" car? I bought it from Raoul Columbe aka "Sport Suburban", who posts here on the board. It's not a bad piece of resin, but it will have to be "worked" a little for fit, and it has a few minor pinholes to contend with. I got a tail lamp from the Modelhaus. I am going to use my '68 promo as a gage for gaps, and fitments. The '69 Javelin is a rare bird, and it will look great when I am done with it, and yes, I am going to "clean up" this '68, with re-chromed bumpers, a new paint job, a vinyl roof, and the SST stripes. I may even do a color change, as this green is not doing it for me.
disabled modeler Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Gene... I too like the AMCs been looking for a few for awhile to add to the families car collection of cars/trucks the family owned like.... 74 AMX 69 Ambassador or SST early 70s Hornet Would also be cool to find a 59 Rambler wagon to add to my wagon collection...love wagons and 4 doors too.
Bruno Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I like AMC's! I built a Jo-Han '69 AMX a few years ago; And I got a Jo-Han '69 Rambler kit and an AMT '74 Javelin kit in the stash, both waiting to be built
Drake69 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I really, REALLY wish someone would reissue a Javelin kit.
KingSix Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I really, REALLY wish someone would reissue a Javelin kit. X2 !!!!
Misha Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Have always been a fan of AMC, especially late 60s & early 70s. The company has always had an underdog rep, so it was great to see successes such as the Trans Am Javelins, drag AMX, the Machine, and that little compact the SC/Rambler! Built this one quite a few years ago, using the kit decals! Wired and plumbed, weathered chassis, modified rear tailgate, detailed trunk with spare and jack (from the 65 Galaxie.
mnwildpunk Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Still looking for a 1971 and up Javelin ... x2
MAGNUM4342 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Did someone say AMC? I saw this cool little machine today. I thought you might like them.
lordairgtar Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Ah Yes! The mighty 304, a true 5 liter. Ford's 302 was only 4.9 liters, but that would never look good on a fender, so 5.0 it was.
skipp20 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 i did a 69 scambler b version just learning on how to take pics i need a diorama scene and better light
