Dominik Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 After Michael aka "carsntrucks4you" posted his really good looking weathered Duck, i will present you my showroom-conditioned Duck. The kit was a must have in my collection, cant wait to get it. To give her the right theme, i searched for yellow Ducks (a wish of my wife), matching dealer, a suitable environment. Searched for the correct numberplate (last two numbers on the plate "04" - the hometown of the real existing company), made them with a generator and made the matching Decals for vehicle advertising. Now, her she is: "Les Comtes de provence" - a real existing company of citrus fruits in france. Specifically the Duck: And with her theme that needed more time for all the fruits and boxes as building the car : Thats it. Thanks you your attention, comments as always welcome
GeeBee Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Superb Build, and love the diorama you've made to put it in .....
Mike 1017 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Your Citroen is so KOOL !!!!!! Gotta add one to my Christmas list
ddk Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Looks great ! I think I will get lemons in "les comtes de provence" next summer just a little mistake...there isn't turn signal on the "2cv" side panel in France..."c'est la vie" ! "Les comtes de provence" makes excellent jams http://www.comtes-de-provence.com/fr/
Misha Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Your work is tremondous Dominick! Seeing this kit built makes it a must for me, even with the rather expensive price here in the Americas. Going over your past posts, the variety of your work is very impressive. Thank you for showing your latest! Cheers Misha
Tom Geiger Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Very nice work, especially on the fruit and boxes! I need to get one of those kits!
Faust Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Epic! I had a Majorette toy of something like that, and I always though it was cool. I'd love that kit, and a fleet of those Japanese 3-wheeler things to go with it. Superb job and diorama, too! That's one way to make an ugly duckling of a truck look like a true swan!
Silver Foxx Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I have this kit to build , I would like mine to look as nice as yours , this is a great looking build , well done.
Plastheniker Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Dominik, another immaculate model of yours - as usual. Your self-made decals make it really unique. The icing on the cake, however, is your ingenious diorama that really makes clear what the 1:1 vehicle was made for. One of the best jobs I have seen so far. Wirklich gut!
Dominik Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 Thank you very much for comments buddies! Cool! Engine pics? Sorry, i forgot - straight out of the box: Looks great ! I think I will get lemons in "les comtes de provence" next summer just a little mistake...there isn't turn signal on the "2cv" side panel in France..."c'est la vie" ! "Les comtes de provence" makes excellent jams http://www.comtes-de-provence.com/fr/ Thanks Didier. I know about the real Buisness the duck delivers . As i searched the web I thought, "thats it - perfect". The turnsignal on the sidepanel was my mistake - good point! i didn't knew that. The holes were there, so i mounted them. @Jürgen: Danke!
