The Revell 50 Oldsmobile kit was our club build this year. There were no rules, so our member's builds ranged from mild to wild. I was the only one who did a stock one. If you notice, the roofline is longer than the stock kit. I used a 2 door sedan resin body from Model Car World (very nice product) instead of the kit Club Coupe body. Color is stock Crest Blue with Serge Blue roof. Other than the body, dist/wires and fuel line, it's all box stock.

Very nice, Al.

I was toying with two-tone blue for mine, settled on Garnet Maroon.

I plan on buying enough of these for the resin bodies out there, so there's at least a few more color variations I'll be doing.

Beautiful! I especially like the proportions on the 2-door sedan body, it gives this model a special "something". I'm such a fan of well executed showroom stcok builds like this one. Definitely a case of "the grass is greener..." since I'm congenitally incapable of building anything stock and rarely do replicas of any kind. Thanx for sharing!

AWESOME build!! That's the same thing my club is doing for our November meet! You're right, MCW does have some nice resin!
