deward Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 This took a little longer than expected, but it is complete now. ]
Austin T Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Very nice! I want to do this to a kit or two someday. Anymore specification on what was scratch built?

Here is the link for the build thread. I re-used most of the kit parts. Otherwise most of it is .80 styrene rod.http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=81234
hjracing Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Really awesome build! Please can you tell me about the wheels do you use on this truck? i like it so much!
deward Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 The wheels came from the Lindberg Ford F150 kit.
Agent G Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Good job. It looks just like all the desert dogs running around out here. G
Platerpants Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 i recognized those wheels before people asked what they were, built 2 of the ford stepsides (one a replica of my 1:1) Not one for yotas but this is nice.
Ridgeback Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Such a cool truck. Who makes the original Toyota kit?
crazyjim Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I'm not a weathering person, but I think you hit it perfect on this build.
Jordan 191 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I often open this thread to admire the build. I figure I should comment now! This is so cool.

I might do another one sometime and do something different with the suspension and a slightly different cage design. I need to get ahold of another kit first though.
deward Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Got snowed in today so I decided to take a few more pictures to show more detail of the rear.
crazyjim Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Still looks terrific. I didn't know it snowed in OK.
