James2 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 The inspiration... As built in 1998... And now... 1
James2 Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 I tried to keep as much of the original build as possible. But added a few updates and subtle body mods. Thanks for looking... 1
bpletcher55 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 DUD THAT IS SWEET! . LIKE IT , NICE JOB !
o-man Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Sweet truck. Like what you did with the fenders.
rmvw guy Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Sweet looking pickup! It looks very expensive if it was 1:1 scale. I think you may have the rear fenders on backward. lol It took me a while to figure that one out.Nice custom touch, it works. Lots of tricks on this one and looks good in black.
Roncla Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I can see a lot of work has gone in to this one. Well done.
crazyrichard Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 truely stunning , i just love this so much , wish i could own and~drive this 1:1 as a daily then my life would be complete
PappyD340 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 STUNNING indeed, perfect color and wheel choice, nice touch on the suicide doors, excellent job James!!
James2 Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) Thank you all. This time around I shortened the bed and flip the rear fenders, also added 58 Chevy tail lights. Scratch built a panel under the tail gate to connect the fenders and close things up some. The drivers door is hinged now along with the hood, instead of being glued! That's a fresh coat of Tamyia Black on the body, polished and waxed. I also re-painted the chassis but left it the way it was. Just replacing the old Boyd wheels with a set from Pegasus. The interior is the same I added some tape for seat belts and the color is oil rubbed dark grey primer. The only thing I did not do was change the glass, Maybe some day!Not to bad for a model that is almost 15 years old... Edited December 2, 2013 by James2
