Chris White Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Nice work Rich, up to your usual standards of excellence !!!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 WOW, this is nothing short of an art work!!! I would love to build one, as foiling is really a thing I enjoy doing. The colors alone are screaming 1957.
TooOld Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 She's a real beauty Rich , looks like you've got the foiling figured out ! You're gonna have to get more storage space for all these builds you're knocking out !
Sixties Sam Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Another 50's beauty, Rich! Love the fins and chrome! We had a 57 Dodge wagon when I was a kid. It was big! Sam
Ramfins59 Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Thank you all so much guys. Bob, you're right, I do need more display cabinets as I am running out of room. I've been looking at some stuff online at IKEA.
Dominik Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Outstanding car. You did a good job on it. A lot of BMF-work...amazing. Only the colors are not my taste.
Jeremy Jon Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Great workmanship, the BMF looks fantastic, Nicely done!!
Ramfins59 Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 Thanks guys. Dominik, I know that a lot of the 2 Tone color combinations on the 1950's cars did not appeal to everyone. The manufacturers did get a little creative with the colors, especially Chrysler Corp.
Tom Geiger Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Dominik, I know that a lot of the 2 Tone color combinations on the 1950's cars did not appeal to everyone. The manufacturers did get a little creative with the colors, especially Chrysler Corp. The good part is that you are varying the colors on your 50s collection. It will be representative of the era. Personally, I tend to see cars in the same colors over and over so I have to watch myself!
Harry P. Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Beautiful model . . . odd color combination but it somehow works. It's close to a factory combo...
Rob Hall Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) It's close to a factory combo... The factory yellow seems to be lighter/softer, less of a bileous green-yellow that the Model Master paint appears to be.. Edited December 8, 2013 by Rob Hall
Harry P. Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I think Rich's photos may be a bit off as far as color balance. Actually a lot off.. Still not a factory color scheme, but in the spirit of one...
cchapman195 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Beautiful build. Nice and clean. Great job!
Ramfins59 Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 It's close to a factory combo... Harry, that's why I painted the 1958 Dodge that I built earlier in Black and Yellow colors...
gwolf Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I love the looks of any late 50's Dodge. Superb work!
Ramfins59 Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 Thank you Greg. I appreciatr your kind words.
Dodge Driver Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Wow, Rich! These are some great looking Dodges! I resurrected this post since we were talking late fifties Chrysler products.
Geno Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Wow, that looks great Richard. i love those '50's Mopars.
D. Battista Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 This looks great....! Beautiful job...! Keep diggin' 'em up guys......
MrObsessive Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Wow! How'd I miss this one?? Beautiful job Rich! There was nothing like late '50's Mopar styling, and I sure wish I could have snagged one of these when The Modelhaus was making 'em. Who knows...........I've got a '59 Dodge body that I could backdate into a '57. Personally I like 'em better without those "sharks teeth" in the bumper though.
