Belugawrx Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Likin' it Hinging doors,... very nice, I gotta try that on the next ones Cool body work I'm followin'
DrKerry Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Thanks guys, Yes Bobby, most people flip the hinges to where the doors come outside of the body but on late models they fall into the cowl area. I watched the vids that Dr. Cranky did and learned quite a bit and thought I can do that, so I did....
om617 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Looking great so far. May i ask what type of clay? you use for mock up? Really smart compared to the annoying tape.
DrKerry Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 That's actually permanant. It's called "Apoxie Sculpt" sculpting putty. I put it in over the hinge area to stiffen the area up a bit more. It's also used as a body filler to.
DrKerry Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 Updates are good..... Primed a bit more, wet sanded and a few little things to take care of...... Working on bulkhead/back of interior panel. Engine is assembled and detailed a bit. Even put the Cavallino on the side of the selonoid on the trans thanks to Kennyboy (supplied the metal transfer)!!!!! Hinge for what will be the hatchback/engine cover
