Piero Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Here is my last build, a '65 Chevy El Camino camper. This is from the 1/25 AMT kit. The lights on the camper are from another AMT kit. The interior, there are papers and rags, and seats are torn. The engine, 327ci small block : That guy likes to go to NHRA events ! What do you think about it ?
disabled modeler Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I like it!...not all cool models are shiny...great weathering!
MsDano85gt Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 great "old" "heavily used" weather look!is that the "open road" camper with the bottom cut to fit an el camino? or is it an older kit that came with the camper?
the goon Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Oh man, you saw my uncle Zeke's camper . Really great job, love your weathering. Mark
Piero Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Thanks everybody ! great "old" "heavily used" weather look! is that the "open road" camper with the bottom cut to fit an el camino? or is it an older kit that came with the camper? It's an old 3n1 AMT kit, reedited. The camper is included.
Mr Stock Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Superb work, looks fantastic love the weathering
Sixties Sam Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 That looks awful.......but that's a compliment! Great weathering, looks like it's had a hard life. Very convincing look! Sam
Danno Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Nice. I'd drop the rear end a little, because a camper like that would sag the springs for sure! LOL.
Piero Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Yeah true... But when you compare the rear with the front, it looks a little dropped.
bbowser Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Great model, really nice work on the weathering.
Pavel A. Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Unbelieveable work on weathering. Great work on classic.
