Put together the AMT 1958 Edsel prepainted and the AMT 1958 Edsel in regular kit form.

The prepaint has foiled trim, Revell tires, tow ball, and engine wiring as add on detail.

The regular kit was painted in factory colors of Frost White and Horizon Blue. Has Revell tires from the new tool 1955 Chev kit, engine wiring and some other small detail added.

I've been tempted to buy the pre-painted version but the black / red is getting a little too common .

I really like your blue / white color combination ! Very nicely cone ! :)

That is the same car, after I sold it to a great guy in Katy, Texas.

I sold the car to him in 1979.

The picture I posted was taken in 1974, in front of my house in Melbourne, Florida.

Very cool!!!!

The car was in great shape two or three years ago when it was for sale. All original.

I always loved Edsels and when I saw the ad I started counting dimes to see if I had enough to buy her and had her shipped to Brazil, but taxes would kill me. Still dream of owning one tough.

This is my neighbor's 58 E Edsel parked in front of my '59 Airstream. How's that for traveling in style?

I too really like the blue and white combination.

These both are very nice builds. I have one in my stash that I plan on building for my neighbor using his car as reference right down to the faded Nixon sticker in the window. :)

Congratulations on getting them assembled!I tried to build one of the pre painted ones several years ago and it was one of those malevolent kits that fought me at every step.Mine is stil not done and likely won't ever be finished-too many things broken and missing now.

Beautiful work as usual, Tulio! How about doing a comparison with the original '58 kit next? There are a few details on that one which are more accurate.

I used to be half owner of this Ranger; one of four '58s known to have this color combo, Snow White body and roof with Ice Green cove:

Nice job again Tulio, I never get tired of seeing your projects. Your blue one looks better not only because it is different but, I think the antenna is a lot more correct and the overspray on the underside.

That's what I would call a dream car.

I wish I had a original annual to compare.

The oldest annual I have is a '59 Fairlane 500 Galaxie. Have one built and one new in box. Never found an Edsel.

I'll agree on that. Both beautiful, but the blue is really sharp!
