crazyjim Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Waiting on parts for my 1:1 baja bug so I've had some extra time to complete 3 builds. Here's the first one, a '41 Plymouth that's painted with HOK apple red kandy over a cinder red base. Swapped out the wheels and frenched the taillights.
Shardik Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Very nice! I love the paint. Where did the wheels come from? They suit the build very well.
crazyjim Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 Thank you Johann. The wheels came out of the parts box. I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly which kit.
slusher Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Sweet build Jim, great color. Wheels look like 66 nova maybe..
crazyjim Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 Thanks Rob & Carl. The exhaust hangs too low but . . . . You may be correct on the wheels, Carl.
Ramfins59 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Not bad Jim. I haven't seen this kit built in quite a while.
crazyjim Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 Thanks Rich. I've had the kit for some time and just decided to build it. Next time ?? I'll change the headers so the whole exhaust is closer to the frame.
1930fordpickup Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Very nice! I love the paint. Where did the wheels come from? They suit the build very well. I second that.
Foxer Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Looking fine! That paint really makes it stand out.
Belugawrx Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Love the colour I think those wheels are from the 64 GTO (Monogram) Nice build 'Smiley face'
cobraman Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Nice job. You don't see that car too often.
Chris White Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Jim that one has to be one of my favorites from your collection
crazyjim Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Thank you all so very much. I made a mistake - paint is HOK apple red kandy over a HOK galaxy grey base. Wheels unknown - maybe '66 Nova.
