I was really surprised when I saw a Hennessey car driving around Spokane - O think it was a Nissan...my Hyundai couldn't keep up.

That's a cool video - unbelievable how fast that thing gets to 270 mph...just getting to 270 at all is insane.

I roughly timed the video. He hit 60 in 3.3, 100 in 6.0, 200 in 15.0 and 270 in 43 seconds. The thing is wicked fast. The Veyron on Top Gear had to have a running start, this beast did it from a standing start.

Actually, he did do it from a roll. But, still, that thing is wicked quick (FAST too). He was "granny shifting" & got to 270 in 43 seconds.

Keep in mind, this is a pushrod V8. It's amazing how far they can push the envelope with these engines. The Corvette does it every year.

I played this at work today [NAPA] and at the 260 MPH mark when it started climbing at 1 MPH increments I looked around me. Slack jaws on every face. There was some discussion afterwards and to a man they were all impressed.
