I really like this picture. Maybe it's the warmth of the film colors, the Studebaker Champion sedan in the background, the mismatched drive tires on the K8...something.

I agree. I have loved these truck since I was a kid. My hands down all time favorite. I know where there is one parked in a field. It looks like a runner. I want so bad to go buy it, but I just can't find a reason that I need it. I don't even have a class A to drive it. But I still want one, along with a Deuce and a Half.

Springfield Bottling Company, Brick Streets. As a child my mothers parents lived in Springfield Illinois and every street was brick unless they had paved over the brick. Their driveway was covered with the coke from the furnaces used to fire the bricks.  That was cheaper than gravel at that time.
