maltsr Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I like to think I have a relatively wide span of car interests, and my latest two builds are a good example. Just finished today is a Fujimi McLaren MP4-12C, finished OOB but with decals by a French company, Pitwall, obtained from Spotmodel in Spain - these are excellent, very thin, little carrier film and crystal clear. The '49 Merc wagon was painted and decaled within 36 hours of first opening the box, has taken a further two months to finish it! Again, an OOB build but lowered slightly and using parts box hubcaps due to incomplete chrome on the originals . Paint is Tamiya Metallic Green and USAF tan with a little drybrushing for wood effect. Dark wood is the kit decals.
donb Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 very nice, wagon gets the nod from me Same here. Nice
slusher Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 McLaren looks great, and the Merc is sweet. Real nice color on the Merc...
crazyrichard Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 those are two opposites haha .. that merc is just lookign soo good , love the green metallic !
peter31a Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Both are great builds! Love the decals you chose for the McLaren. Great colour choice on the wagon too. I can't seem to decide what colour to paint mine.
impcon Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Both models are very nicely done but the wagon sorta overshadows the McLaren big time! It's always noce to see a wagon as they are without a doubt, much underappreciated. We need more wagons to be available in the hobby, that;s for certain!.
Nacho Z Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Both cars look fantastic! Both look to be very cleanly built. I will give my nod to the McLaren for my favorite.
kilrathy10 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Those are some very nice looking models....From one extreme to another in many different ways.....Awesome....
