Those were on the 'unplugged' Nirvana album, correct? I had the cassette...... They also covered some Meat Puppets songs on that album! and Bowie, too......

Yes, that was on unplugged. I can remember the Bowie when we were all watching it back when it came out. I picked up on it right away and blurted out "The Man Who Sold the World. That's that Bowie song". I guess they were so used to Let's Dance and Modern Love that they forgot when Bowie actually used to be good.

Jay Howie, All Along the Wacthtower........Jimi Hendrix cover.....

Very cool--different and therefore interesting! Thanks for sharing it!

"Watchtower" isn't a Hendrix cover, though, it's Bob Dylan cover. Hendrix just did the best-known cover of it (many people have never heard anything else).

I believe I have a concert bootleg of Warren Zevon doing it, which is kinda cool. But Jimi's version is and always will be the definitive one IMHO. B)

Yes, the Hendrix version is the one most recognized, although it was covered by several artist. Check out some of Jay Howie's other covers also.
