I finished this one, last week. It's a Revell kit, with wheels & tires, from my parts box. The paint is Jacquard pearl powders, mixed with Testors clear, over flat white, topped with Future. The bumpers are done in Alclad chrome. It's the the first time I have used Alclad & it didn't turn out, like I wanted. I guess I need to try again.

Cobraman, Thanks

Danno, Thanks & I intend to use the alclad again. It's just like a lot of new techniques, it works better, the more you do it. Try, try again. Or is it, lather, rinse, repeat?

Steven, Thanks. It wasn't a total loss. Parts of them are reflective. LOL

Thanks Slusher.

I think that this is cool Jeff. I love the "brushed" look on the bumpers. It goes well with the color and it offsets the chrome on the grill and side trim. You may have given the car a different look by having the Alclad fail on this application. Consider the fact that with a bright chrome finish it would look like any other '55. Just a thought. Oh.....and I love "Cragers". Looks good to me!
