This was my first build in about 16 years. The purple 69 charger was my last. This is a great kit and loved building it from start to finish so I bought a couple more for later builds. I have to admit I made a lot of mistakes but learned a lot in the process. I used the hemi engine for this build but didn't trim down the carbs enough to clear the hood and also added pegasus wheels and brakes. Paint is Testors star spangled blue with wet look clear. I also learned a lot of tips from watching Dr. Cranky on youtube so much thanks to him for making really great videos. Especially the one on not letting perfection turn to frustration. I didn't wire the engine on this build but will try on others. I wanted to re-learn the basics and keep it clean. Those were my goals for this build. Hope you all like it.

Nice job Anthony, looks great!

I actually saw one of these today, in a dark silver/grey with no stripes - very cool, and by no means a common sight here in Switzerland.

Wicked looking paint job and the choice of wheels really gives it that modern look. Any pic's of the engine?

Here is a pic of the engine compartment. I didn't go with factory chrysler engine red w/black valve covers since I was going for the Pro Touring/custom look. I wanted to add plug wires when I started this build but wasn't sure if I had the skills yet to try it. So I kept it stock and painted in some details. Once again thank you all for your compliments. I'm really glad you like it.

I don't think I'd worry a whole lot about the motor either if I were in your shoes. That finish though...........WOW! I aspire to throw a finish on an automotive build like the one you have. It's another area of modeling I'm lacking in. How'd you achieve the finish?

Beautifully done! The wheels and tires are not what I would have used (nothing over 15 inches on 60s and 70s muscle cars for me) but it's gorgeous non the less.
