After I restored my old build black five window 1936 Ford, I had on hand two five window Fords, so I thought about building a roadster. I got the new Round 2 kit, but after opening the box, I realized that at some point in the future I could want to build a three window coupe, so I went back to my stash, and found a old issue of the AMT kit:

This kit has everything needed to build a Roadster, so I proceeded with this one and not with the new edition.

The only modification needed was to fill the rear door line, as the body had the three window door engraved, and inscribe a new door line on the correct place for a Roadster.

After that it was a pretty much box stock build. I only added some plug wires, radiator supports, and licence plates.

The color is stock FoMoCo. in synthetic enamel.

Hope you guys like it!!

Thank you my friends!! Very appreciated!!

Beautiful job, nice addition to your other 36's. Are you moving on from 57's and building a collection of 36's? :)

Not really, I'm just in between '57s :D Unfortunately the Revell kit kind of vanished from around here :( And I still have a lot of colors to go...

I really got in the mood for building those two yellow '36 Fords (the black one has over 20 years old) after I saw a re-rum of one of my favorite movies, Maxie. In the movie, the car used is a yellow '36 Roadster, that is a daily driver in the 1980s. The car really pops when compared to all the junk on the roads around it. Mr. Ford did quite a job.

I really admire your building style. You build very nice clean well thought out models. You version looks much better than the one they stuck on the box. Well done 1

Thanks again guys!!

I also love the color.

Ford the ones that want to paint a car this color:

On a 1936 Ford colors brochure I looked at (showing only colors), it's called "Demonstrator Yellow", and the same code paint is also called "Tacoma Cream" on a 1936 FoMoCo brochure (showing cars and the available colors). After some deeper research, I found out that both names are accurate, and the color was really the same, but "Demonstrator Yellow" was used on the pick up truck sales material, and "Tacoma Cream" on passenger car sales material.
