Ron, I love it. And I'm glad to see not everybody has given up on AMT's old '57 Fairlane since Revell came out with their '57 Ford. Sure Revell's '57 is a superior kit to AMT's some 50 year old kit. But, the old one is still not a bad kit, that can be built quite nicely as shown by your build here Ron. I have one stored away I need to get to some day. When I do mine, I'll be going with a Red and Black two-tone. I only hope it turns out half as well as yours.

Very nice. It must have taken a very deft hand to apply the silver paint so crisply to all that brightwork. Nicely done.

thanks, it wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done but I wanted to do it old school so that's why I used paint.....

I do like it, paint looks great and nice foil work as well.

Roy, not foil, it's paint I did this one old school like when I was young and we didn't have foil....

Very nice, but foil is badly needed. Silver paint just is not convincing chrome.

I'll bet everybody has at least one of these in their stash. :) When I get to mine, it's going to be painted "Silver Mocha" & "Colonial White". Good Job on an ancient kit Ron! Steve

I just love this kit. Built many of them already. The one that's 100% stock I built in Raven Black single tone.

Liked your build, just would had used foil tough. Before I even knew Bare Metal existed, I used aluminum household foil and white glue. To be 100% honest, it still produces a better chrome than BMF, that is more and more "orange peeled" these days.
