FordRodnKustom Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 This fought me every step of the way but I'm finally calling it done. Here it is, warts and all. I started with this forlorn old JoHan build up And after a little work my journey ended up here
mrknowetall Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 WOW! Looks like a Gas Monkey Garage save on an Olds, but yours is much better!
cobraman Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 My folks had one when I was but a wee tike. Yous is nicer than ours was.
peekay Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 This is the Olds that came back from the dead. From basket case to wonderful model - that takes talent and perseverance.
crazyjim Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Just a little bit of a change. Looks great in SHINY :)
StevenGuthmiller Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Nice job Ron!! These Johan '59 Oldsmobiles are getting to be about as rare as they come! It's nice to see one brought back from the dead! The paint is just "glorious"!! Steve
DeeCee Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Great "WRECK-scue" mate, that looks awsome, love the color combo.
PowerPlant Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I love a good restoration project, and yours is by far among the best I've seen...
MrObsessive Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) Wow! I just love 1959-60 GM "flattops"! That is a super sharp paint job, and a superb rescue! I've got one of these as well and yes, they are getting harder and harder to find. Heaven knows when I'll get around to rescuing mine, but you've done a fantastic job with this one! Jordan 191 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 My eyes did the actual "bug out" move when I scrolled from before to after. Beautiful.
unclescott58 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Wow! As noted by others, a stunning save. I'm impressed. Scott
