unclescott58 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 ...and this poor ol' Beaumont looks like it lost a rear wheel and ended up in the rhubarb... mike I love those Canadian only cars. One of the delights of going into Canada as a car crazy kid.
slownlow Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I saw this old friend in the parking lot of our local Home Depot. Turned out the owner was the clerk that waited on me. Said it had been in the family since 1972. The only thing she's missing is a Greatful Dead sticker in the rear window.
GLMFAA1 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Yesterday I was working and had no camera but a late 40 early 50 Ford pick up front wedded to a Ford van rear end in army green, Anyone in the Y-town area know of it's originsgreg
10thumbs Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 ...and saw this one, right out of the '70s, at a recent airshow mike That Olds is defo 60's. Just not familiar with the way the Canadian models looked around the bumpers. I'd say that Olds is a 66 Cutlass Coupe. Classy cars back in the day.
10thumbs Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I missed it again. Just around the corner from where I live is a beautifully restored 60's Citroen DS in light green metallic, a beauty. If the sun shines tomorrow I'm taking the camera down the hill and having a closer look. It's a beauty.
mk11 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 That Olds is defo 60's. Just not familiar with the way the Canadian models looked around the bumpers. I'd say that Olds is a 66 Cutlass Coupe. Classy cars back in the day. It's actually a '66 Delta 88 with Buick wheels. What I was referring to was the accessory sidepipes... m
Tom Geiger Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Technically not "on the road" but I was out and about doing my weekend chores... stopped to get a case of beer and these two signs were on the wall at the beer distributors.
Crazy Ed Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 On my wat to Willcox Friday I passed this person who seemed to be on their way to a Fun Weekend!
unclescott58 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 It's actually a '66 Delta 88 with Buick wheels. What I was referring to was the accessory sidepipes... mYou are correct sir.

W-409 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Here are a couple of cars that I've spotted recently in here: And just this week I heard a rumbling engine sound and saw a DC3 flying in the sky. You definitely won't see those every day!
lysleder Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I saw this one in my daughter's middle school parking lot at the know your school night.
Petetrucker07 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Saw this today, cruising in Modesto.
Tom Geiger Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I saw this one in a deli parking lot in New Jersey on Sunday. Nice 1969-70 era stepside I wouldn't mind having! I saw it start up and drive away, nice little rumble!
Badluck 13 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Sorta on the road....My '66 at a local meet...
Russell C Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Nicer weather in this area tends to mean folks bust out more convertibles...
W-409 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I saw this healthy-sounding '67 Valiant this week. It was in a very good condition, a nice one! And last weekend at a local Burger-Restaurant I saw this legendary Finnish Custom '59 Mercury that was Customized this way several decades ago. Cool!
Xingu Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I saw what looked to be a nicely done (maybe '69 or '70) GTO convertible. It was black with a white top, it looked a little weird. I think it needed a stripe or something to break up the solid black. Sorry, no photo. We were going 60 mph in opposite directions.
Snake45 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Saw this badass Mustang. Converted to a 2-seater and powered by a @ 1500-hp Packard V12. Like many hot rods using a lot of WWII-surplus parts, it featured some cool and totally authentic "nose art."
Xingu Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I would definitely take a ride in that if I ever had the opportunity.
Snake45 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I would definitely take a ride in that if I ever had the opportunity. $2200 for 30 minutes. I did the math--that's @ $1.25 per second. Yes, I looked behind all the cushions of every sofa in the house. Didn't quite make it--only about $2198.75 short. Maybe next year.
Xingu Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Would be worth it! So far my best ride has been riding shotgun in a De Havilland Otter. The smell of burned oil while flying is something you don't soon forget.
ChrisBcritter Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) That's the Collings Foundation TP-51D; they just recently got the restoration finished. It was built up from parts; the cowling with the name Toulouse Nuts came from a Mustang that was in the West Virginia Air National Guard in the 1950s. They found a photo of that plane and painted this one to match it. A bit unusual to see a Mustang in that scheme, but the Guard used Mustangs up until 1957. The real Toulouse Nuts that the cowl came from: (Photo by Locobuster via the Warbird Information Exchange) Edited October 12, 2016 by ChrisBcritter
