Thank you Steve . . . Okay, so I don't know my facts when it comes to the lengths of American and Canadian cars. Guilty as charged . . . Sorry guys !

That is a nice Electra you have there Steve, and you must be proud to have the car in your family since 1974.

David

Thanks Dave but I no longer have it. After my aunt passed away, my uncle Steve asked if he could have it back to work on to keep himself busy and his mind off other things. What could I say? ?

Big body channeling and no chopped top is sort of mainly an East Coast style, despite the Oregon plates.  Whoever did the body work and paint on this did an outstanding job.

Yes, channeled and sectioned. It's a beautiful car, been done during periods... the initial work was started in the early 60s. The owner is a neighbor. He bought it like this, he'd built his own cars for decades and said he just wanted his last car already finished.

Saw a '70 something Ford Maverick today driving in the lane next to me. Kind of reminded me of one I saw auctioned at Barrett-Jackson, Las Vegas 2017.

When you see them lowered and with the body kit attachments it starts to look like the Nissan Skylines of the same vintage.

I think the 70´ Ford Maverick looks much better without these body kit parts. Especially the front spoiler looks some cheap.

I would destroy that spoiler SO fast it wouldn't leave time for a memory.  Parking lot bumpers, roadway dips, driveways (even my own); just gone.

A beautiful Nova with a hot small block was standing outside the door when I went out. Such a nice chat and look under the bonnet that I was almost late for lunch.0E490228-7A29-4E17-9DD7-1D9DA74B3303.thumb.jpeg.5e36a742e98d29b56a1b3439c3c35d32.jpeg

What do you mean by that? I can't follow you.

It is a classic car that should be available as a kit, English Airfix is probably competent enough to produce one. It was an attempt to be a bit funny.

Oh yes, you are right, anyway the Minor was one of the most produced cars in UK.
