On my way to a car show, I passed two Model A's at the side of the road.  One appeared broken down.  Later I passed a convoy of Model A's off in a parking lot apparently getting ready to hit the road.  Later still I saw another A passing through an intersection, going a different direction.

I hoped the A's were headed to the car show, but I never saw them again.

Saw a red ‘53 or so Ford truck in my rear view mirror on my way home from college; it was waiting to go straight, I turned onto the road ahead of it. It’s like all red, like the bumpers and grille; essentially all the chrome was body colour.

Dang. That thing looks like a 4x4! He needs to seriously lower the suspension. These extreme Lifted Trucks look so silly!!

The window glass rattled, exhilarating.
If it wasn't for the fact that we were waiting to go to the vet (all went well) this would have been a perfect day for model building, an inch rain.

Unfortunately had to be "chauffered" to school this morning, but that also meant my hands were free to handle a camera. Got a white LeBaron convertible around 7:30 this morning. Nothin' special.

It sure is somebody's pride and joy, very sharp for what it is.

Seeing something like this always fires up the neurons into thoughts of how cool it would have been (as a teenager with a shelf full of Hot Rod mags) to have just pulled one of these out of an old widow's garage circa early fifties

On the way home from the shop mid-afternoon, saw a red Lamborghini Countach, complete with the hideous and draggy rear wing.

Pretty sure it was legit, as the 5-hole wheels, rim/tire widths, exhausts, and proportions were all right. The replicas rarely get all 4.

Guy was driving like grandma though, and I was too far away to hear the engine.

I'd bet the '71's a clone. You'd think he'd trumpet the 'one of 12' status if it was real but then you probably won't find a genuine article jammed into a tinderbox building with virtually nothing for fire suppression and no way to move the cars out if something did happen.

What makes you think that? Out of curiosity?

its sitting on 4 lug VW wheels with Porsche nipple hubcaps.  it could just be the photo but the panel gaps look off (big, usually a sign of fiberglass).  again, it could be the pic (angle) the trail lights and license plate light look to close to the bumper. idk about years, but i believe there is supposed to be chrome trim that runs along the side of the car door handle height.  it could have been shaved, but normally that's a sign of a kit car.  the lip on the dash over the gauge cluster looks to thick.

but hey, iv been wrong before.

Well , I have NO idea. I’m NOT a Porsche guy Corvettes are my thing, but listening to the owner he said it was a 57 and no mention of a kit or anything else, but hey, I may be wrong. Just thought it fit the thread of what I saw on the road today.

I have a Beck replica 550 Spyder, and when asked, I always say "it's a replica of a '55 Porsche 550 Spyder", emphasizing the "replica".

I have met many replica owners who, for whatever reason, don't bother to specify their cars are replicas.

But anybody who knows old Porsches can spot a fake easily.

EDIT: It's also pretty unusual to see a real Speedster on the road, as they're worth anywhere from $300,000 to $450,000. Add a million if it's a 4-cam car.
