Very nice I like the details like the blue in the bird . Was that dash chrome in the kit or did you foil it?

The dash chrome is all foil. The door panels chrome is also all foil.

Another great build. I always check out your posts, you have some of the cleanest builds on the forum. Your paint jobs are excellent.

Thanks a lot my friends!!

This model has kind of a "agitated" life, as after it was all done and completed I got a PE kit for this kit. I'm not into this kind of thing, but really loved the rings that go on the taillights. So, instead of building another Bird to use it, I just got the pieces I liked better, and installed them on my completed Thunderbird. The front and rear badges are PE, as are the coo inserts on the taillights, the front fender scripts, the headlight masks, and the mirrors's reflecting surfaces.

I'm running out of superlatives, Tulio!

Did you have any of the chassis/firewall fit issues some folks have mentioned here?

No I didn't have problems with the firewall and chassis, I just had problems when test fitting the interior, and saw that the door panels would not get into the body after the paint. It was that tight of a fit. I just sanded the rear of the door panels, and just a little of the body and the problem just went away.

If I had to choose the hardest part of this kit, I would choose the front spindles. You actually have to use the lowered spindles to get the car on the stock ride height, and not with a noose high in the air. Also replaced the tires with parts box tires. Just hate that BFGs with white wall insets AMT has as new tool. On my Edsel I also trowed them away.

The 1961-'63 and '64-'66 Thunderbirds are my favorites of the line. You did another fine job on this.

Next time you want to throw away BFG WWWs in your AMT kits, I have a good home for them, and will happily cover your postage.
