My wife and daughters told me I should do that! I told them it wouldn't be fair to the normal folks! ;)

Gee, my friends told me I should so I could show them how it's done!

In the more good news department, picked up some more contract work. I might actually crack the average monthly amount of earnings for the poverty line before the end of the month if this keeps up!

Got paid! 260-some-odd dollars. Spent $80 on debts, and bought a model kit (Revell '77 Chevy Van) with accessories, some Moxie for work, and a soda for home. It feels good to have earned money. B)

Moxie- the tonic of champions. Only another New Englander will understand.

I'm surprised they didn't want you... you come across as an entertaining intellectual!

Reminds me of a story... I think it was on Jeopardy... there was this very smart guy who was cleaning the board on all kinds of questions about planets, mythology and other academic subjects... what sunk him? He had never heard of Fonzie!

Was irked earlier. Happy to have 3 healthy sons. Today is the fourth anniversary of the death of my friends son. My heart goes out to him.

Not that kind of dry, heck, I was kinda wishing I had taken my Jeep to go visit Mom in the physical therepy facility she's currently in yesterday instead of the 200!

The shop where I do the vast majority of my work got a new roof. 3.5" of urethane foam, overlaid with a white waterproof membrane.

The old roof was black composite-flat-roof, with NO insulation, over wood decking. The building had been converted into offices and shops several years back, after being originally a loading facility for an old Coke plant. No roof insulation was done during the last re-model, but the office spaces got suspended ceilings with a little insulation.

It's been kinda like working in a solar pizza-oven.

We've gone from being 10deg hotter inside than out during the hottest part of a summer day, to being about 5deg cooler inside than out. B)

The owner is so happy about the improvement, he even mentioned actually having heat this coming winter. :D

It pleased me tonight to check out a new (to me) cruise night. 400+ cars, LOTS of people, great food, great music, seeing some old friends with cars and meeting new ones. Guess I'll have to go back.

Great dinner with the Wife, and got to spend a bit of time with my own Dad (and gifted him a model kit that has special meaning to us both from my childhood). Couldn't get either of my own kids to go with us for either of those trips,or to have anything to do with me--except when they were both wanting $50 and a ride to the mall (I guess that part should go in the other thread tho,LOL! :P:lol: )

So after I got the Xbox home, I played GTAV for a few hours, then during Fallout, it told me I needed a passcode to turn off the Family Lock. I didn't get one from my friend when I bought it.

I messaged him a dozen times, but 10 hours and no reply. Called tech support, and in a matter of minutes I was able to reset my system with a unique code and now I'm back to playing. B)

Finally found out why the Mitsu was running so bad. Turns out my throttle body was very (very, very, very) dirty. Cleaned it and she runs like a dream!

What pleased me on Friday was able to get around from my surgery on Thursday and get some "bench" time on a NEW bench with my Unimat, and then to follow some bench time on the bench I build my models on......... Fathers day, working on my Dads truck in my "Father & Son" build, and getting a lot of little details, done to move onto bigger parts of the same truck......

Today, SEEING ALL OF THIS the past few days!

Turned 42 today. My son must have spent more than a couple hours on a couple of awesome B-Day cards he made for me last night (with lots of his heart put into them). My daughter spent the 1st hour of her day with me,then when I went to go for a much needed (for health reasons,LOL,not because I was irked by anything* :P ) walk, she wanted to go,so we stopped and grabbed some bisucuits at Hardees and picnic'd them by the river before walking a couple miles. When the Wife got in from work,we enjoyed watching the sunset and then some favorite shows together,no splitting up 1 of us on th ecouch and the other on the internet this eve. A good day

(*Just off a several week old-injury flare-up that had me barely walking on the cane for weeks, and the last 5-7 days or so I was having issues breathing--cigarette related,of course--so I really needed to get out and walk to both strengthen the hip damage and open up my breathing. FWIW,I'd had today marked on my calender for "quit day" for months, and tomorrow will be my first completely smoke-free day since,oh,about 1991 or so  Been smoke free for about 9 hours now...can you tell,I keep rambling on and on and on and...... :P )
