Being old enough to receive it is not bad, as a lot of people never get the chance to get old. It's a privilege that not everybody gets.

That's a very good point, Nick. Just a month or so ago and not too far from here, a little girl, 6 years old if I recall correctly, was shot to death by some idiot, so yes, being alive at all (and in reasonably good health) is a very good thing.

WELL. I got a few missing ones..... From this past Monday, went to a local AC Moore thats in the process of moving (they say) but have no "plot" location yet, but. half the store was 50% off, spent like $50 there (Wife &I) I can home with Badger Air Brush PARTS ONLY needles, nozzles, seals, spent $4.00 for the "lot" and priced over $150.00 worth, as they were not only marked half price, but BEFORE the store liquidation, they were like 40% off......

THEN hit the rest of the store, had nothing for paint, but the model section (from the last time I was there on my birthday) WAS slammed! They went for a 16 foot wall mount display, to 4 foot tall by 4 foot wide display (3 shelves)! Naturally me being me, I looked for anything "Mopar" and by God, they had one! ONLY ONE! A '06 Dodge Magnum..... Notice I say "HAD" one. LOL Yep I came home with it for $7 and some change as it too was pre-marked down to I think it was $13.98 so....... Then it got the store wide 50% off.........

THEN hit the necklace area for beads for gearshift knobs, and metal rings for Venturi's in carburetors, and fittings among other uses, as well as metal wire for necklace making, found a BUNCH of that too! I myself, spent something to the tune of $20 I think, the wife spent more then I did..... BUT I too came home with more value then she, she got a lot of stuff, but mine sadly costs more then hers so....... (She does a lot of craft stuff) Dioramas and such.....

THEN, I today, got high speed internet (25KBPS speed on DSL) was at 3 KBPS! and a working phone and can be doin' both at once!!!!!! Could do them both at once before, but the 'net would slow down while on the computer if the phone rang.... Had something to do with the way Fairpoint Communications system works.. NOW the phone doesn't slow down the 'net for us. 3 computer, 2 Kindles, 2 phones and 3 game consoles.......Out of it all? I use one computer!!! (I could care less about the rest of the 'net devices)

I just got in from shoveling about 10 inches of "joy" that began falling last night and didn't stop until this afternoon!

The weather guys say it was the largest single November snowfall we've had in forty years!

Oh goody...

I've been living kinda primitively for the past year and a half in my under-renovation house. I've had only portable heat, no AC, and NO HOT WATER.

I finished up enough of the plumbing today to safely fire up the water-heater and take a long hot shower.

Man oh man. This changes everything. I feel almost human again.:D

In addition to other things, I have a part-time job for the tax season with H&R Block.

I announce my business publicly about Dec. 1.

Things are starting to look a bit better.

Started the big ol' 47 Caddy last week for the first time after a year and a half of non-stop work. ONLY thing I haven't personally done on the car to-date is the exhaust system from the headers back, and the guys who did the work made me VERY happy. Quality job, followed my requirements EXACTLY. Reasonable price.

When she came home from the exhaust shop, other than a very few minor hiccups, she popped off on the first twist of the key. Finished up testing most of the primary systems today, and just about got all of the instrument sub-harness built. The owner came by and I got to give him the dog-and-pony show, all the trick onboard electronics working, engine purring happily, shifter shifting, etc. He's happy, signed on for more work, so I'll be getting her 100% roadworthy between now and the end of the year. Then she goes to the paint shop...and I'll probably do the dis-assembly and much of the panel fitting on their site, then the build-up after she's candy-apple-red.

I bought new tires today for my daily driver, otherwise I wouldn't have made it through the winter with the old ones. I'm hoping to sell the vehicle in the spring, but I needed tires before that.

My Sister had to do that for her Challenger, the summer only tires didn't have a second winter left in them, she ended up ordering a set of the BFG's I bought for the 200 last weekend from Sam's Club.  Hopefully, they will be in by Saturday.
