I met my lovely wife for the first time, seven years ago yesterday.

It took four tries but I finally got it right!

I had posted a while back in the the topic "What Irked You Today?" about my hunt for a job since losing mine back in December. Well, today, what pleased me is that I finally had a job offer! If all goes as planned, I will be back at work in two weeks. Ironically, my new boss is really an old friend who has hired me for my last two jobs, so it does pay to be nice to the boss and to stay in touch when moving around!

Looking forward to going back to work and hope to never have to go through this process again!

    Set a New Record!! The Old one was 7 Quail in the Feeder Tray. There were 9 Scaled Quail up in the Tray when I took this shot.

Congrats!  It pays to network. I've gotten my last three jobs through my contacts.  I've worked for three companies.  I currently work for my old boss from company number 2, back at company number 1 again!

     Here Comes The Sun. There's something about the Dawn that always makes me feel good. Humm, maybe it's simply knowing I made it to another day............

Made me happy yesterday to finish laying 5 cubic yards of mulch. Hope to do a couple more today and maybe finish up next week after spreading 10-12 cubic yards.

Ive been raking out the old mulch, putting down weed prevention fabric, and re-mulching.  I'm on a little better than 1/2 acre and have flower beds all over the place.

Got an invitation the other day to my grandson's 2nd birthday party next week in downstate Illinois.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I am an actual grandfather...

I still remember my kids as little children like it was yesterday. Little League, dance classes, parent-teacher conferences, etc. Time really flies. And the fact that my baby (my youngest daughter) has a two-year old son of her own is mind-boggling!

But it's all good...

Time does go way too fast. I remember my dad used to tell me when I was a young know it all that time goes faster as you get older. Sounded like bologna to me then. Now , I see how right he was. Too bad he is not with us so I can tell him how right he was.
