slusher Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Nice Catch Carl. I didn't know about your Arm, sure hope it's as bad as it's gonna get. Any chance on it gettin' better?Ed I have had MS for 25 years and it has attacked my right arm and leg the most. I still build but I can't lift my right arm and my had has very limited use. I can't foil any more. I want to look into cameras at Best Buy so I can post my models again. I am still so blessed and have great friends on this forum!

As to a Camera, if it's just for Imaging your Builds you might consider something like a Nikon D70. They're inexpensive and if you were to combine it with a Tabletop Tripod and a Nikon Ml-L3 IR Remote you can operate it One Handed! Add on something like one of the 18 - just about pick your number zoom lenses and you'd be pretty much good to go.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 We seem to be starting the few weeks we usually get in the fall with weather that's very pleasant. Daytime temps are in the low 80s with low humidity, and at night the temps drop into the 50s or 60s. Clear and breezy, too. Wonderful weather, brilliant blue skies, still lots of green, but the leaves are just starting to turn colors. I slipped the leash early today and went for a 4-mile hike. Sure is good to be getting regular aerobic exercise again, finally. Just have to stay with it and shed the extra 30 pounds I'm dragging around.
Tom Geiger Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 My daughter got a piece published on Huffington Post, including a video she produced! This should drive a lot of traffic to her fashion blog! Please share this with all the women in your lives! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/57f596c2e4b087a29a548603?timestamp=1475713851561
Crazy Ed Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 First off I hope all that live in the Hurricanes path are either headed to safety, or at a secure location. Here's a bit of Morning Color from this morning. 50F and once again nit a touch of a breeze.
crazyjim Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Another beauty shot Ed. Gorgeous. We picked up & stored all the potential yard projectiles yesterday. We have plenty of water, food, batteries, emergency radio, generator, etc. Hopefully Matthew won't be too bad over here on the west coast of FLA. Looks like the folks over on the east coast are going to get hit pretty bad.

crazyjim Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Tropical storm watch is what we have. Don't want too much rain. A neighbor wants me to dig out a big bunch of mexican petunias for her next week.
Crazy Ed Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 A neighbor wants me to dig out a big bunch of mexican petunias for her next week. Sounds like a Job for Ortho Ground Clear. Makes RoundUp look like Miracle Grow!

Tom Geiger Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Oh no. I'll dig out the plants and transfer to my yard. Free trees! Come dig them up and drag 'em home! My back yard.
mikemodeler Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I was busy working at a customer's shop today sorting fasteners and organizing the drawers for them when my phone rang. I looked at the number, didn't recognize it and almost didn't answer it because I thought it was pollster or telemarketer but being in the business world you never know if a customer has a phone number with an area code from halfway across the country. I was pleasantly surprised to hear my son's voice! He has been at Ft. Leonard Wood since August 15th and haven't spoken to him since that day. He had 4 minutes to talk and borrowed a fellow soldier's phone to call and just wanted to say he was looking forward to seeing us in 3 weeks at graduation. He is doing well and says it is getting easier to see the finish line! Not sure if it is true, but he sure sounded more grown up than he did 2 months ago, even though he is 23 !Made my day and of course my wife was jealous he didn't call her!

Crazy Ed Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Beautiful Ed.. Thanks, and have a Great Day Carl.
10thumbs Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Great view Ed, a beautiful photo. Man those paths are just screaming do go riding on. I love riding/walking down such paths out in the country. Just in Old Europe (Western) , there's no wildlife that can kick your butt anymore (wolves have come back to Germany though, but no incidents), there are some critters out there though that would probably keep me from walking readily with my dogs.

Danke Michael. There many folks that ride their horses around here. Heck the nearest business was a Guest Ranch, but it's been for sale for quite a while now. Around here as long as you pay attention you'd most likely have no problems. The main Critters one needs to watch for are Rattlesnakes <by the way - They Do NOT Always Rattle>. Other than that there are Bobcats, Coyotes and Mountain Lions in the area and if it's been a really dry summer Bears have been known to come down this far.
10thumbs Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Ed, those few critters are enough. At least they're big enough to be seen (if you're lucky). Things like crawling insects not to mention.Great pics.

Crazy Ed Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Ed if one was to get bitten by a Rattle Snake, how far do you have to go for medical attention..?? I'm not sure if the local EMT's carry Anti Snake Venom, but they're ~6 miles away. The nearest Hospital is in Willcox ~35 miles from here.

10thumbs Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Something simple to report now. What a treat!Just around the corner is the city's oldest pizzeria, still in family hand, still plain and simple, still the best in town. No modern-type deep dish or junky loaded up pies here. The best I've ever had outside of Italy.Tuesdays bring a special offer. Pizza and a great Italian salad. The wife and I do this almost every week for lunch, 2 great original Italian pizzas and 2 great salads, including tip, $17.50.This pleases me.
cobraman Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Had my normal 3 month doctor follow up visit today. All numbers improved. A1C, BP, cholesterol . Doctor said see you in 6 months instead of 3. It's been tough getting them down but maybe I can live to dance at my daughters wedding !
crazyjim Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I just love good news, Ray. Keep doing whatever it is you're doing.
