You know they say we all evolved from the seas.. depending on what you believe to be true. Heck my wife says I resemble a donkey, but think it's a polite way of calling me an @$$.. 4
ksnow Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Picked this up a couple months ago. Runs fine, just needed some rust "stabilization". Stripped and painted the wheels, racks and front bumper. Rewired the head and tail lights. Test drive after work today. 6
John M. Posted April 29 Posted April 29 (edited) I got my assigned school bus back yesterday a month after it blew the head gasket. It was towed to an outside shop that my boss has a contract with. Our mechanics only do general maintenance and repairs. It took that long because another bus was in the middle being worked on at the shop. Edited April 29 by John M. 2

Falcon Ranchero Posted Thursday at 06:22 PM Posted Thursday at 06:22 PM Got all the rocks raked off the empty lot (lawn) and back onto my grandma's driveway. Wow that took a long time. Finished up just as the rain started getting heavy
rattle can man Posted Thursday at 11:18 PM Posted Thursday at 11:18 PM went to the Post Office today. It was filled with the sound of chicks on their way to a local farm supply store for a chick day. And a hawk circling maybe 10 feet above me while mowing.

It was waiting on you to stir up dinner, in the form of maybe a mole or lizard! We have a hawk pair that live in the woods behind me, Red Tails, they screech something fierce.... 1
rattle can man Posted Friday at 01:15 AM Posted Friday at 01:15 AM It circles every afternoon, almost like clockwork I just happened to be out there to catch its interest today. I just wish it would have been the bald eagle that's in the area. 3
johnyrotten Posted Friday at 09:55 PM Posted Friday at 09:55 PM Day one of the swap meet completed, scored a couple of kits at a good price. Also picked up a sweet little starrett combination square for 2 bucks. Among other things. Still have one day for the place to fill up, and the show car's are starting to roll in. Today was relaxing. 7
A modeler named mike Posted Saturday at 10:14 PM Posted Saturday at 10:14 PM Today at St. Johns church, our local radio station, WTTR hosted a meet and greet with two retired, former Orioles players, Tippy Martinez and Rick Krivda. Everyone who attended received a choice of a either a Orioles baseball cap, an Orioles bird bobble head, a Birdland Jersey, a flowered Orioles shirt or a Orioles drinking cup. Every adult entree received a raffle ticket for chance at the drawing for tickets to a Orioles home game. I took one if my 1980's Topps Tippy baseball cards (that never made it to my bicycle tire for that motorcycle noise we cherished as a kid) and had him signed it. That and tickets we won for a home game through the raffle was the high light of the day. The fellow in the orange shirt is an announcer on WTTR.. Great event, good people Also, as of two days ago, my new roof is finally done. Now to contact my insurance company to update their info. 3
John M. Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM (edited) The local news called for rain much of the weekend here in Eastern Massachusetts but it turned out better than expected. I came in not long ago from a few hours of cruising in the 08 Corolla. Partly cloudy with the sun peeking through and mid 70s,. Edited Sunday at 05:23 PM by John M. 1
Joe Handley Posted Sunday at 06:14 PM Posted Sunday at 06:14 PM Took my new Traxxas TRX-4 Sport High Trail out on 4/30 to try it out box stock then again today after some body trimming, paint work, then softer springs, a gear down and forward mounted batteries vs the more rearward placement from earlier in the week. The first 2 pics are two different climbs on the same rock while the 3rd is after the final climb today that was not possible on the 30th. Kinda kicking myself for not buying some wheel balancing putty for race/speed run vehicles. Got a few parts still on order for this and Dad’s truck and will pick that up at the LHS once those arrive. Think I’m going to fully pack the inside of the spokes on the front wheels and and partially on the rears to help with traction on the climbs, especially the steep, as tall as if not taller than the truck climbs! 1
johnyrotten Posted Sunday at 10:19 PM Posted Sunday at 10:19 PM Last day at the car show, kind of a rain out event. Grabbed two more kits, the Lindbergh 442 and revell aar Cuda. The green one. My wife and I drove down the road and stopped in the village of Rhinebeck, grabbed lunch and visited Samuel's sweet shop. My wife was hoping to see Paul Rudd or Jeffery Dean Morgan, they own the place. No luck for her. Even with the weather it was a pretty good day. 2
Falcon Ranchero Posted Monday at 01:57 PM Posted Monday at 01:57 PM Pleased that my newly aquired 1962 Oritone Transistor radio (mentioned and shown in what did you get today not model related) tunes into a station that tends to play primarily period correct music but also '70s and '80s stuff. Some Huey Lewis was on earlier. Also Louie Louie from 1963. 4
Falcon Ranchero Posted Monday at 07:19 PM Posted Monday at 07:19 PM Add-on to that radio; I had it on while I was out in the bush at my grandma's haulin' junk outta the gully to take to the scrap metal dump and some other things to the regular dump. Should in theory scare away the bears since they are coming out now so I kinda gotta be on the look out back there. Played some Jerry Lee Lewis, and the original Summertime Blues from 1958. 1

Smart thinking. Normally I wouldn't run from much in this world, but I'll make an exception for yogi. Downhill. (I know you shouldn't run from them). 1
