Haven't been getting a whole lot of building done lately due to a couple of minor health issues, as well as a couple of disappointing build starts. Hopefully, now that I'm feeling a bit better, I can jump back into the saddle & get something done! In the meantime, here's an older build that I don't believe I've posted here. It's a "Junior Craftsman" series 1959 Buick Invicta built box stock & finished in "Lido Lavender".

This proves what I've said about 1959-60 Buicks...

You either paint them in a dark, subdued color to tone them out, or go nuts and make sure they stick out like a sore thumb!

Great job, Steve.

Beautiful work again, Steve! Great colour choices and stunning workmanship throughout - especially the grille detail, which can't have been easy in this case.

I love these cars and also have an unbuilt kit.

Nice work. As John said, the detailing on the grill is great. But the outstanding part is the work you did on the interior. It's not easy multi-toning one of those God forsaken interior buckets!

Thanks Guys! I thought the Lido Lavender was the "natural" choice for one of these old monsters. As far as the interior goes, I was a little disappointed on how it turned out, but I guess it'll do. The grille on these '59 Buicks is pretty "nit-picky" to detail, but it still wasn't as bad as the '58 Buick! :) Steve
