Chuck Most Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) This is the Revell (former Monogram) reissue, it's box stock, but has a few modifications, as I did not want to have the front brush guards or roll bar. I bent the diff skid plate upward so it would meet the frame. I might add a tool box and tow hitch at some point. Edited August 14, 2014 by Chuck Most
slusher Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Real nice build Chuck. Great weathering. Did you like the kit? I just got one and have not opened it...
MikeBoyle Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Nice job of weathering. One question, isn't it a 720 not a 270?
SlotDaddy1963 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 WOW Chuck! That thing looks like it should be towing an old aluminum flat-bottom fishing boat around behind it... Fantastic work my friend!
Chuck Most Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Thanks guys! Real nice build Chuck. Great weathering. Did you like the kit? I just got one and have not opened it... It's the old Monogram snap kit, so it's a bit simplified here and there, but it's a pretty good basis for a fun project. Nice job of weathering. One question, isn't it a 720 not a 270? Yes, it's a 720- had a little keyboard dyslexia when I typed the thread title, I guess!
MikeBoyle Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Yes, it's a 720- had a little keyboard dyslexia when I typed the thread title, I guess! I do it all the time. I call it numerical dyslexia.
cobraman Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Just saw the Pathfinder. Looks like you have some trucks to wash. : )
pharoah Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Great build! That's what most of them looked like after a couple of years.
TooOld Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I really like your mud work Chuck , but shouldn't there be some caked on the lower edges and in the wheels ? Just a thought .
peekay Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Very nice, Chuck. Plenty of "coolness" factor, which all your models seem to have.
mikemodeler Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Nice work Chuck, like many of your builds you seem to have a knack for getting the weathered look just right!
TFchronos Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Awesome build, very nice job on the weathering!
PatW Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 That looks great Chuck, just as we see them on the road.
