S. Svendsen Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 This was a convertible conversion I built from an AMT '64 Hardtop kit. The resin boot came from the Modelhaus. I built this over 20 years ago and recently pulled it out of my display case to re-photograph it. You can see all the other pics and read the details on my site at the link. http://www.svensworldofwheels.com/64sspage.html
Guest Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Wow! Did you hand paint the guages? What a stunner!
Maxicoop Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 start that bad boy up and let's go for a ride !!!! fantastic build !!!!!
bbowser Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Great color, very convincing model. Another nice one from your bench Sean!
Bob Ellis Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Nice work. After seeing the test shots of Round2 inventory tools, I am guessing they still have the 64 Impala convertible. Sean, you have already done the box art.
unclescott58 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Very nice Sean. By the way, what is on the passenger's seat? Scott
Daniel Lynch Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 More then very nice! Super nice clean work!
Harry P. Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Very nice Sean. By the way, what is on the passenger's seat? Scott Looks like a magazine to me. Nice model, really nice interior.
RAMBENNA Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 sweet, looks like you just rolled it off of the show room
Burnout Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 That is a beautiful model and the photography is also outstanding!
S. Svendsen Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 The book on the front seat is a photo reduction of an original '64 Impala brochure.
peekay Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I still love the AMT 64s and I don't remember ever seeing a nicer version than this. Another home run, Sean.
geetee66 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 That is a beautiful model and the photography is also outstanding! I was going to say that! I usually photo mine on a white, but that black mirror makes it look like a real promo shot. Very crisp build. Super-clean and lovely detail. I'd be proud to have one like that on my shelf!
W-409 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Really nice Impala. This must be one of the most beautiful '64 Impalas I've ever seen. Always nice to see a W-Block under the hood, even though there was no picture of it, and that color fits perfectly on this body. Sharp looking interior as well, did these have chromed shifter knob from the factory, too? I've never seen that before.
Harry P. Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Always nice to see a W-Block under the hood, even though there was no picture of it... Pretty sure that Sean builds his models as curbsides.
