mangodart Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Hi guys, back with a new built : a 61 Ford Starliner Htop. It began life as a Sunliner built glue bomb with custom front and rear end, I could find the recent reissue chrome bumpers and grills, and I mixed it with a '60 Starliner kit from AMT, which is a very detailed kit. COlor has been airbrushed, it's a metallic turquoise from Suzuki, wheels and red line tires are from my parts box. Hope you'll like it :
TooOld Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Great looking Starliner ! I have the same conversion on my bench right now , I hope it turns out as nice as yours !
peekay Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Oh yeah, I like it alright! Very nice take on one of my favourite cars.
Greg Pugh Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Very clean! I like the color and the wheels n' tires!
FordRodnKustom Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Nice job. I like the color and wheel and tire combo.
Krazy Rick Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 The color really adds to this very clean build - thanks
GMCMAN52 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 great looking big body ford, color just looks right
Maxicoop Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 sweet lookin' ford !!!!!!!!! those were the years !!!!! no seat belts, airbags, and gas was about a quarter a gallon for premium !!!!!!! beautiful build !!!
Maindrian Pace Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Beautiful job, great combination of new and old kits and sits just right. -MJS
Monty Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Like everything else you build this one's got a lot to like, but as some of the others noted, the color you picked really makes it stand out.
bbowser Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Great model, perfect color, love the rims and tires!
Bob Ellis Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Good idea making a '61 Starliner. Even original AMT gluebombs are hard to find.
StevenGuthmiller Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Nice Emmanuel!! The Starliner roof line really was beautiful. I wonder why Ford only made them in '60 & '61. I have one of these in my line of builds to do. My interior tub is a little messed up so I'm waiting till I can find a new one. These are getting increasingly hard to find & exceedingly expensive! you did a great job! Steve
slusher Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Beautiful model. Great color and nice touch on the wheels
