That's not stop motion. They used technology from model rail roading. Magnets under the table on tracks to pull the cars along.

The cars on the road, if you look carefully, you'll see someone's hand just after shoving one past at high speed.

Very cool video, I have always wanted to do a model car layout like that, but in 1/24/25, it would be overly massive.

That is pretty cool. Back when I was in high school, maybe 1975 or so, we did stop frame animation in class. It took us about a week to do a 15-30 second scene where my 1/25 Mini Cooper is driven by a clay man. The Mini is a diecast that has opening doors, bonnet and boot, so the clay guy drove up, got out of the car and ran around it opening and shutting all the opening panels. Then he got back in and drove away. We thought we were so cool! That film is no doubt long lost... although I still have the Mini!

Pretty cool! Looks like a short movie and they used magnet to move cars.

At 1:16 when the gold car is passing in front of the car wash you can see a hand grabbing it. :D

Kinda cool! Wasn't there a car wash toy back in the '60s, or am I imagining that? I have a vague recollection of such a thing.

Yes, I think it was called Mr. Kelly's Car Wash made by Remco Toys. It was really cool and fairly popular. It had a motorize chain that pulled special plastic cars through it. Squirted water on the cars. Had foam rollers the cars moved under. Even came with a couple of small can of wax to polish the cars. Always wanted one. Never got it. I do have a DVD with a bunch of commercials for 60's kids toys. Including the RemcoRemco car wash. I wonder if it can be found on YouTube?

It had to be 1965, my birthday when we lived in Ohio. I got the Mr Kelly's Car Wash. Let's just say it worked much better in the commercial and one of those toys you played with for a half hour and lost interest.

But of course:

Pretty cool! The cars look about 1/32. Too bad they didn't make the thing in 1/25 so you could have run your models through it. B)
