i got this near mint condition vinyl LP of the dukes of hazzard soundtrack from 1982 i have already listened to it 3 times so far i love the story that is told between the songs by boss hogg it is so funny
though they did catherine bach dirty with what they did to her song she song they pitched it up and made it sound like she was singing in a hole with bad acoustics  and if you did not have her name on the vocals you would never have been able to tell it was her as it sounded nothing like her

Threw a lot of upgrade parts at my axial scx24 crawler this past week. Here's a list, an Injora IR60 hardbody (based on a 1982-84 toyota truck), Emax servo, Ebay wheels, Injora Rock Terrain Tires, Brass diff cover and steering nuckles, 3d printed LCG chassis, and Injora 40mm big bore oil shocks.

Here's what the stock truck looked like (In a fun snow day crawl).20240110_135625.jpg.953a6480a81bb0cce531f65abde39f7a.jpg

Here's what it looks like now, 2 weeks ago this thing was stock. I bought it 2 years ago not upgrading anything on it till this week!

Eventually it will need a new motor, maybe wider axles. For now, it performs like a beast, night and day difference from stock. I'm really pleased with how it looks and performs!

Found an interesting crossover; bought a couple of vintage unopened 10/40w imperial oil cans at an antique mall for less than what the big chain store charges for new quarts  :)

I updated my post now that I’m home and they’re out of their boxes.

They’re both the Sports, so it was the generic pickup bodies, mine is red and Dad’s is blue. I eventually want to ditch the RTR body for the version of it with a topper on the bed, should be a lot less top heavy than the stockers with the cages on them. Only thing that would suck is that they don’t have a clipless version of that yet.

Clear, working 1962 Oritone transistor radio and 1967 Pontiac original dealer brochure. $40 for the whole shebang. First Facebook marketplace scores ever, from southern Ontario I had a relative pick them up a few weeks ago; just got them today. 52 pages of full colour '67 Ponts

Found this Unimat DB 200 at the swap meet last Saturday.   Took a picture there, came home to look at what eBay wish prices are, went back and gladly paid $200.  Didn't know I wanted one. 🙄
Before cleaning up:

After cleaning and oiling:

Drill bit works fine for the stop.  The hole is for a missing lever, that I have no clue about.

Found a video on You Tube about the tailstock, learned there were some screws and a nut missing.  Scavenged screws from a ceiling fan made into grub screws.

Now I have to find a manual, and a complete diagram, and learn how to use it.  Got it to turn rocket nose cones, I took 5 semesters of college wood shop, but not machining.  Sharpened the cutter, and tried it out with a dowel.

It was too cute to pass up. 😁

Take it from me, owner of similar but newer, you'll be glad you got it. My late father, an expert multi-decade machinist, built mine up for me and likely is rolling in his grave to see the way I barely know the most rudimentary basics of how to use it. But when ya need something small to be perfectly round and/or drilled straight and true, these beat the heck out of trying to hand-file something round or trying to hand-drill something with a Dremel tool.
